Communiqué De Presse Communiqué De Presse 27 FÉVRIER 2019 Renault F1 Team completes 2019 driver lineup Renault F1 Team is pleased to confirm its full driver lineup for the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Nico Hülkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo will be joined by Sergey Sirotkin as Reserve Driver, with Jack Aitken as Test Driver. The quartet will be complemented by Development Driver Guanyu Zhou. In Sergey, Renault gains an experienced driver who is well accustomed to modern Formula 1 machinery. After spells as Renault Test Driver in 2016 and Third & Reserve Driver in 2017, Sergey graduated to a fulltime F1 race seat in 2018 with Williams. Sergey will dovetail his F1 commitments this year with a programme in the FIA World Endurance Championship with SMP Racing. Jack graduated from the Renault Sport Academy in 2019 after a threeyear tenure, during which time he competed in the GP3 series and FIA Formula 2 Championship. Jack took one race win last year as a rookie in the Formula 1 support series, to which he will be returning this year with the Campos Racing team as part of his development programme. Sergey and Jack will share F1 support duties to allow them to fulfil their racing commitments outside F1, while also conducting crucial simulator and development work at the team’s technical centre in Enstone, UK. Cyril Abiteboul, Renault Sport Racing Managing Director: “We’re very happy to reveal our full 2019 driver lineup. It’s a very strong and experienced team of drivers. Nico and Daniel are an exciting combination and will be strongly supported by Sergey, Jack and Guanyu. In Sergey’s return, we have a driver who has experienced a full season racing in Formula 1 and that knowledge will be beneficial to developing our package. Jack has also impressed us when testing our Formula 1 machinery, while Guanyu will complement the experienced team. All of them have an important role to play this season and we look forward seeing them all in action.” Sergey Sirotkin, Third & Reserve Driver: “I am very pleased to rejoin my friends at Renault F1 Team and return to Formula 1. We are well acquainted with the team, I spent the whole 2017 in their factory and in the garage. It will be interesting to learn how far Renault has advanced in the development of the car over the past year; last season we were rivals and I could not see the work from the inside. I am pleased to join the team as a Reserve Driver and work alongside Nico Hülkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo.” Jack Aitken, Test Driver: “It’s a great feeling to continue with Renault F1 Team and I’m grateful for this opportunity. I’ve been part of the team since 2016, so to remain for a fourth season is a privilege and I’m determined to repay Renault’s faith in me. I drove the Formula 1 car a couple of times last year and I can’t wait to sample the Renault R.S.19 this season in the rookie tests and give my best to develop the package in any way I can. Last year was a lot about learning, but I feel ready this season to do the job and get the results I’m aiming for as I continue my development pathway within Renault.” Pour Plus D'informations: Christophe DEVILLE Manager Campagne Communication SportAuto +33 (0)1 76 84 64 83 [email protected] GROUPE RENAULT PRESS OFFICE Tel.: +33 (0)1 76 84 63 36 [email protected] Communiqué De Presse 27 FÉVRIER 2019 Renault F1 Team completes 2019 driver lineup Renault F1 Team is pleased to confirm its full driver lineup for the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The German heads to Italy with motivation to do even better at The Temple of Speed. How special is the Italian Grand Prix? have a low downforce setting on the car, qualifying and race and we’ll be aiming Monza carries a lot of history and it’s the lowest of the season, to allow the top for even better in Monza. All our focus is amongst the most special Grands Prix on straight-line speed. The car will feel light on having a strong weekend to end the the Formula 1 calendar. The fans create this at the first, especially in FP1, and it takes a European part of the season with some wild atmosphere there and it’s really cool little bit of getting used to. Monza has hard solid points. to experience. I do enjoy racing at circuits braking zones, Turn 1 is a standout, and you with a lot of history and prestige. You get a need to be quite brave there. The Lesmos, great feeling at these places. I do enjoy food, the run through Ascari and of course, the and Italy is good for that.

GUANYU ZHOU TO DEBUT IN AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX Alpine F1 Team is pleased to confirm Guanyu Zhou will participate in his first-ever Formula 1 practice session at the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. Zhou, currently Test Driver for the team and Alpine Academy member since 2019, will be handed his F1 weekend debut for the first practice session of the event, taking Fernando Alonso’s A521 for the duration of the one-hour practice. Zhou joined the Academy at the start of 2019 on the back of three consecutive years in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He claimed Top Rookie in his maiden season in the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship after securing five podiums throughout the campaign. In 2020, Zhou recorded his first Formula 2 win in the Sochi Sprint Race – becoming the first mainland Chinese driver to win an international single-seater race, on his way to sixth place in the Championship. The 22-year- old currently leads the 2021 Formula 2 series after three rounds with two victories in Bahrain and Monaco and has two further podiums to his name. Zhou will become the first Chinese driver in eight years to participate in an F1 weekend. He was also the first Chinese driver to drive a Formula 1 car on the streets of a downtown Chinese city when he took the Renault-powered E20 Formula 1 car to the streets of Xintiandi, the fashion district of his hometown Shanghai, in 2019. Guanyu Zhou: “Driving in FP1 at a Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend is like a dream coming true and another step closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver.

Press Kit 2018 // introduction Launched in 2016 by Renault Sport Racing and Renault Sport Formula One Team, the Renault Sport Academy is tasked with discovering and nurturing young driver talent through the racing ranks, where, ultimately, Renault Sport Formula One Team aims to find drivers able to deliver the team world championship titles. Drivers are selected on ability and potential, with the Academy able to draw upon Renault Sport Racing’s vast experience in motorsport as well as its global markets to find such talent. Mia Sharizman manages the programme and has a range of experience in motorsport including at Formula 1, Formula 2 and GP3 level. For 2018, the Academy has retained four drivers from its 2017 intake. Jack Aitken, a member since its inception in 2016, signs for a third year, as does Sun Yue Yang. Max Fewtrell and Christian Lundgaard both impressed in their first seasons with the Academy and both remain for a second year. The Academy is delighted to welcome three new drivers to the programme. As part of his prize for winning the highly-competitive Formula Renault Eurocup, Sacha Fenestraz has agreed to accept a place with the Academy. Arthur Rougier, winner of the 2017 French Formula 4 Championship, is on-board for 2018, alongside Victor Martins, runner-up to Arthur in his rookie season of single-seater racing. Four members will go wheel to wheel in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2018 with Max, Christian, Arthur and Victor all set to contest the exciting series that races on nine Grand Prix circuits, including the streets of Monaco.
