The rodeo is a UPRA and CPRA sanctioned event By and is being sponsored by TexasBank and the Comanche Roping Club Both nights the gates open at 6:00 p.m. with the mutton bustin’ for the youth beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 12. Under 5 is free. Tickets may be purchased a online at PayPal.Me/ ComancheRopingClub, in the memo box specify your ticket purchase and they will check you at the gate. Tickets will be available at the gate as well. Friday and Saturday their will be a special performance at 8:00 p.m. by the Ladies Ranch Bronc Tour provided by the Texas Bronc Riders Association. After the rodeo on both nights a dance will be featured starting at 10:00 p.m. with live music. On Friday the Clint Allen Janisch Band will be performing and on Saturday the live music will be provided by Creed Fisher. On Saturday at 10:30 a.m. a rodeo parade will be held in downtown Comanche. After the parade stick around in downtown Comanche for ice cream, roping, stick horse races, vendor booths and food trucks. The parade and events following the parade are sponsored by the Comanche Chamber of Commerce. Look for the decorated windows and bunting around town. There is window decorating contest all over town that the businesses are participating in. -

Most Lamb Prices Steady To Lower San Angelo slaughter lambs weighing less than 70 pounds were $10-20 lower this week on an unusually heavy run, heavier weights firm, and feeder lambs weak to $10 lower. Goldthwaite wool lambs were steady, light Dorper and Barbado lambs steady to $5 lower, and medium and heavy VOL. 69 - NO. 32 SAN ANGELO, TEXAS THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 2017 LIVESTOCKWEEKLY.COM $30 PER YEAR hair lambs steady. Fredericks- burg wool lamb prices were lower, most Dorper lambs lower except 90-100 pounds $5-10 higher. Hamilton Dorper lambs and wool lambs sold $20 higher, Barbado lambs steady. Lamb and mutton meat pro- duction for the week ending August 11 totaled 2.4 million pounds on a slaughter count of 36,000 head compared with the previous week’s totals of 2.5 million pounds and 38,000 head. Imported lamb and mutton for the week ending August 5 totaled 1822 metric tons or approximately four million pounds, equal to 161 percent of domestic production for the same period. Lamb carcass values all went unreported due to confi - dentiality, as appears to be the new normal. San Angelo’s feeder lamb market had medium and large 1-2 lambs weighing 55-60 pounds at $183-188, 70-90 pounds $170-174, 99 pounds $164, 106 pounds $163, and medium and large 2 70-80 STUNNING SCENERY is largely a given in the Mountain pounds $160-170. Hamilton states, and this vista in Colorado is no exception. There’s Dorper and Dorper cross lambs weighing 20-40 pounds made no scrub mesquite, cedar or catclaw in sight, not to men- $180-230. -
