Confirmed Coaches, Scouts & Representatives PSC Company Directors hand-pick attending Tryout scouts and coaches, bringing together a group of experienced individuals who can not only assist with placing and signing players, but also offer their wealth of elite knowledge and expertise to players in attendance. Coaches we have confirmed so far are as follows….. Charleston Battery: USA, USL Championship The Battery is one of the oldest operating professional clubs in the US. Head Coach Michael Anhaeuser, along with assistants John Wilson and Dustin Hudock have been attending PSC tryouts for over 6 years and have trialed and signed over 20 players during that time. The club have a good relationship with PSC, signing Vincenzo Candela in 2018 (resigning in 2019) Kyle Nelson in 2019, and following our 2020 January events in Orlando and Pennsylvania signed Paul Lewis and Darian MaCauley. In November 2020 the club announced a partnership with Scottish Premier League side Hibernians FC which offers players a pathway into the Scottish Premier League. They will be hoping to unearth more talent at our Florida Pro Soccer Tryout. Bodens BK: Sweden Division 2 Over the last 7 years, Bodens BK have regularly attended PSC’s pro soccer tryouts and signed/trialed over 25 players from our events and through agency recommendations. The club have provided PSC with an official mandate to recruit from our Atlanta pro soccer tryout. PSC Director, Tom Taylor has provided many contract and trial opportunities with BBK for PSC players and has scouted and worked for Sporting Director, Christian Samuelsson for a number of years providing the team with quality North American players.. Many PSC players have benefited from this relationship such as Eddy Prugh who scored 21 goals for the club over 3 seasons and earned a move to Colorado Switchbacks in the USL, Andy Lorei, who scored 15 goals for the club and earned a move to the Tulsa Roughnecks of the USL. Recent 2018 players that have signed with the club from PSC includes, Willie Clemons, John Quintanilla and Jesus Ibarra. Oakland Roots: USA, NISA Oakland Roots Sports Club is an American sports club based in Oakland, California. The club was formed in 2018 by a group of Oakland natives and began play in the National Independent Soccer Association in the fall of 2019. In 2021, the club will move to the second division USL Championship. The Roots finished atop it’s group in the NISA Fall 2020 Championship, and beat Chattanooga FC in the national semifinal, before falling to Detroit City FC, 2–1, in the final. They will be attending our Florida Pro Soccer Tryout looking to strengthen their roster for 2021. El Paso Locomotive FC: USA, USL Championship El Paso Locomotive FC, based in Texas, are beginning their third season in the USL Championship under Head Coach Mark Lowry having made conference finals for the past two years running. Assistant Head Coach Matt Williams, who during his playing career was placed in the USL by PSC, will be attending our Florida pro soccer tryout in search of players for the upcoming 2021 USL Championship season. Sacramento Republic: USL Championship Sacramento Republic, based in California, play in the USL Championship and were 2016 Western Conference Champions. Head Coach Mark Briggs has a good relationship with PSC and trialed five PSC players following our 2019 winter combines. Coach Briggs or his recruiting staff will be at our Florida Pro Soccer tryout hoping for a similar display of talent at our 2020 Winter events. David Irving: USA, USL Recruitment During his illustrious coaching career, Hall of Famer David Irving has developed a reputation for finding players with modest backgrounds and giving them their first chance in the game. High profile examples of this are current EPL striker Glenn Murray, who mentions Dave Irving as an important figure in his rise to the EPL signed for Wilmington Hammerheads, and current MLS player Luke Mulholland, who was also given his first professional contract by Irving. More recently Irving has helped players such as Brady Ballew, Devin Morgan, Jasson Carpio earn their first professional contracts in the USL. He will be attending our Florida Pro Soccer Tryout in search of more untapped talent. Adam Smith: USA, USL Recruitment Adam Smith had a 12 year professional playing career in Europe and USA before moving into a coaching role. He has spent the last 10 years as goalkeeper coach and Head coach in the USA with clubs Portland Timbers, Sacramento Republic, and most recently Fresno FC. Smith will be attending our Florida pro soccer scouting on behalf of a number of clubs in USL Championship and League One. He was nominated for USL Coach of the year in 2019 and has a plethora of experience in the pro game and assisting players with professional playing opportunities. Adrian Gaitan: Olympians FC & European Player Recruitment Adrian is a professional coach who has most recently been Head Coach at CD San Roque De Lepe in Spain’s 2nd Division. With excellent contacts in the Southern Spain Region, he currently holds the UEFA A license and will be attending all PSC summer events. He has a number of years experience coaching professionally in Spain and has excellent knowledge on the desired level to play professionally in this region. He will be working closely with PSC this winter to identify potential prospects. As well as his experience coaching in Europe he has played professionally in the USL, been a member of the USA U20 squad and held the Director of Coaching Position with Albertson Development Academy in New York guiding a number of players into the professional game. PSC Agency Staff: Worldwide Recruitment Over the last 10 years PSC Agency staff have recommended over 475 players from events like this for placement or trial in Europe, America, Australia, and Asia. Our agency staff have so many connections and contacts from events and combines over the years and it is not possible to invite them all to a tryout. We are eager to get as many players placed as possible and are constantly reaching out to clubs to find out their player needs. Recent examples are Chase Webert, Patick Kibler (signed in Australia), David Brown, Tobi Jnohope (signed in Malta), Jesus Ibarra (Signed in Sweden), Jamie Dell (Signed in USA) and Devin Morgan, (signed in Iceland). All of whom were signed by clubs who did not attend a combine but trusted PSC’s professional experience and judgment. If you prove you are a strong enough player at our Atlanta Pro Soccer Tryout , we will look to place you with any club in our network. What our Agency Staff, and attending coaches, are looking for? Players often ask what the Agency staff are looking for in a player. First and foremost, we are looking for players who have technical, tactical and athletic ability to play at the professional level. Following that, we are looking for players who display professional attitudes in terms of time-keeping, attitude on the field, attitude off the field, ability to work with fellow team-mates and respect shown to attending coaches and staff. Players who do not show the above will not be recommended to professional clubs by Agency staff. How to Impress a coach at a Pro Soccer Tryout? Players often ask us what they can do to stand out and catch the eye of attending coaches. It is a tough question to answer definitively, as football is a game of opinions and every coach looks for something different in the players they sign.
