Music Minute

Greetings Good Shepherd family!

It has been over a year since the last opportunity I had to write you all. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support throughout this hectic time. Thank you for your patience with us as we’ve had to adapt our practices to accommodate for lockdowns and then for the CDC guidelines. Throughout this past year, God has blessed us with the ability to keep praising Him within our ministries. Through His Grace, we never stopped, even in the midst of the shutdowns back in March and April 2020. Thank you for your support for our musicians who have worked hard to elevate the mass with their beautiful music. Once again, through the grace of God, we have not had any serious illnesses due to COVID whatsoever since the lockdown. We thank the Lord for His goodness and mercy!

Now, as we finally open up our church fully, we hope you’ll join us in our mission to worship and elevate the holy mass by singing with us. In the words of St. Augustine, “He who sings prays twice.” Our world is certainly in need of prayer. So don’t forget your hymnals and let’s pray together joyfully on Sunday!

Peace to you and your families, Mike Abreu

Our Military - May God Protect and defend them as they protect and devend us

A Prayer for our Military Brave warriors, should fate find you in battle, may your cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May your courage not falter. May you be triumphant and earn victory as you show mercy to our enemies. May your efforts bring lasting peace. May your sacrifice be always appreciated by those you serve. May you return to your loved ones unharmed. Should you be harmed, may your wounds heal. Should you perish in the struggle, may God embrace you and find for you a place in His Kingdom.
