ABOUT THE PRIVATEERS The road trip continues in state No. 3 on the tour as the Privateers visit #RV Mississippi State Sunday at 2 p.m. Sunday is game three of four on the roadtrip with New Orleans searching for its first win away from Lakefront Arena since the 2019 Southland Tournament.

Troy Green scored 20 points in Tuesday’s setback at SMU, a career-high, and Gerrale Gates continued to pace the Privateers on the glass with nine rebounds to up his season average to 7.7.

The adjustment made at halftime was clear as New Orleans did not allow a second chance in the second half Tuesday.

Early on, depth continues to show as the 12 student-athletes have appeared in all three games early in 2019-20.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS Mississippi State improved to 3-0 with Thursday’s win over ULM. The win also pushed the non-conference home winning streak to 25 games for the Bulldogs.

Four players reached double figures in win over the Warhawks, led by sophomores Reggie Perry and Robert Woodard II (27 combined points). Perry posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. Iverson Molinar and D.J. Stewart joined the duo with 10 points apiece.

Reggie Perry is a preseason All-America selection by Lindy’s (First Team), Street & Smith (Second Team) and Athlon Magazines (Third Team) in addition to being named a consensus All-SEC First-Team honoree. Perry won a gold medal this summer and was the tournament MVP with the USA U19 Team at the 2019 FIBA WOrld Cup in Greece.

Tyrson Carter is averaging 19.0 points, 4.3 assists and 3.0 steals. Abdul Ado ranks in the top 15 nationally with 3.7 blocks per game.

THE SERIES Mississippi State leads the series 8-1 and the Bulldogs are 6-0 when hosting the Privateers.
