PRICE STARTING FROM DURATION TOUR ID € 0 € 0 5 days 22281 ITINERARY Day 1 : Arrival – Sightseeing city tour in Yerevan Arrival at the Zvartnots International airport in Yerevan, greeting and transfer to the hotel. After the check-in and a little rest time, the introduction with Armenia begins with a sightseeing city tour in Yerevan. First we visit the Erebuni fortress (782 B.C.) and the local museum. Then, the coach tour will continue with stops at the Davit of Sasun monument, Tsitsernakabert memorial, which is dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, Victory Park and Mother of Armenia statue that offers a great view of the capital. Last stop - the Opera house and Cascade complex with an open-air art center and cafes, which is the perfect place to grasp what is special about Yerevan. Day 2 : Khor Virap – Areni - Noravank – Tatev - Goris Breakfast Included After the breakfast at the hotel, the tour in the southern Armenia begins with the first stop at the Khor Virap ancient monastery, which is also the closest point to the biblical Mount Ararat and offers a magnificent view. The trip continues towards Areni, where you can taste local wines traditional cuisine, while the cave with excavations of the oldest winery in the world in located nearby. Next is the masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture - the Noravank monastery, which is surrounded by picturesque red cliffs. From here the ride goes on, reaching the Guinness record-breaker ropeway wings of Tatev (longest in the world and 350m above the gorge) that takes you to Tatev monastery complex located high in the mountains. Then, you have a short drive to the nearby town of Goris and overnight. Day 3 : Goris – Qarahunj – Noratus – Sevan - Yerevan Breakfast Included Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a drive to the ancient observatory called Qarahunj (Armenian Stonehange). From here, the trip continues through the Selim Pass towards Noratus, the largest graveyard of khachkars. Next, you can taste local fish and famous crayfish kebabs by the Lake Sevan, which is the largest water body in the Caucasus. We return to Yerevan in the evening. Day 4 : Garni – Geghard – Ararat brandy factory – Free time in Yerevan Breakfast Included After the breakfast at the hotel, we visit the 2000 years old Temple of Garni and Geghard monastery complex, which is an exemplary architectural monument carved into the rock. Both sights are located not far from Yerevan. This is followed by a lavash-making master class and opportunity to taste healthy local food.
