SWS Significant Projects
SWS Significant Projects Ronnie: Comment. 1. My checker showed spelling and spacing issues. At start I corrected some then changed to showing them as [? Gap etc] or my understanding of the correct spelling [eg Jencks not Jenks]. It might be easier to download this copy to accept or reject changes. 2. Some Irish Job names showed as errors. My system should have all the correct names from other work I have done. Check or leave it until I get back from holiday. 3. I am happy with your choice of ‘significance’. 4. I have added names of key staff [where I know them] and highlighted where I think we should try to add names or at least indicate that there were others who should be acknowledged. Regards, Jim. 14 July 2014. This table attempts to record significant projects carried out by Scott Wilson in the operational areas which became the responsibility of Scott Wilson Scotland (comprising Scotland, North of England, Northern Ireland and Ireland). Prior to the formation of SWS, projects were carried out by the UK Partnership. There is no simple definition of a significant Project. Whilst large projects can easily fall into this category, I have also included projects which added to the geographic and technical expansion of the firm. I have also included projects which created a stream of commissions. In part, the data in itself provides a detailed history of the development of SWS over the years. The data has been taken from job number lists which were obtained from archive catalogues. This data appears very comprehensive from 1971 to 2001. -

British Ports Association (BPA),On Behalf of the Scottish Ports Group
30 April 2020 Area 2-F (South) Planning and Architecture Division The Scottish Government Victoria Quay Edinburgh EH6 6QQ [email protected] Dear Sir/Madam Scottish Ports Group Submission to the National Planning Framework 4 Call for Ideas Thank you for the opportunity to be involved in the shaping of Scotland’s fourth National Planning Framework (hereafter referred to as NPF4). This response is made by the British Ports Association (BPA),on behalf of the Scottish Ports Group. The BPA represents the overwhelming majority of ports in Scotland. The Scottish Ports Group is part of the BPA but has its own defined network, activities and publications. The ports sector in Scotland and throughout the UK is financially and strategically independent of government. Investment decisions are based on market need and changes in demand. Ports ask for very little from the Government but they do rely on a stable economic and policy framework, modern transport infrastructure and, of particular relevance to this consultation, an efficient planning system. Scottish ports produce £9.9bn in turnover and £9.6bn indirectly in the supply chain and induced wider spending. They also provide economic activity and employment, often in areas of deprivation. Scotland’s ports keep supermarket shelves stocked, facilitate energy production and ensure that the construction industry has materials for development, to name just a few of their functions. Ports play a significant role in securing a prosperous Scotland – so we would expect the considerations of the National Planning Framework 4 to reflect this. Ports speak to many of the themes of NPF4. With regards to addressing climate change, the industry supports a rapidly growing offshore renewables sector, as well as offering low-carbon freight transport, compared to other modes. -

THIS REPORT RELATES STIRLING COUNCIL TO ITEM 3 ON THE AGENDA PLANNING & REGULATION PANEL ECONOMY, PLANNING & REGULATION 28 NOVEMBER 2013 NOT EXEMPT DEVELOPMENT FOR COAL BED METHANE PRODUCTION, INCLUDING DRILLING, WELL SITE ESTABLISHMENT AT 14 LOCATIONS (ONLY SITES D, E AND G WITHIN STIRLING COUNCIL AREA), INTER-SITE CONNECTION SERVICES, SITE ACCESS TRACKS, A GAS DELIVERY AND WATER TREATMENT FACILITY, ANCILLARY FACILITIES, INFRASTRUCTURE AND ASSOCIATED WATER OUTFALL POINT NEAR LETHAM AT LAND 230 METRES SOUTH OF POWDRAKE FARMHOUSE, POWDRAKE ROAD NEAR AIRTH, PLEAN - DART ENERGY - 12/00576/FUL 1 SUMMARY 1.1 In August 2012, Dart Energy submitted a planning application for the above proposal. This application is part of a larger proposal for which the applicants submitted a similar application to Falkirk Council at the same time. 1.2 When neither application had been determined by early summer this year, the applicants elected to appeal to Department of Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) against the non-determination of the planning applications by the respective Planning Authorities. 1.3 Once the Appeal had been lodged the Reporter advised that the Councils work with the appellant to produce a joint statement explaining what technical matters could be agreed and which remain unresolved. The objective behind this requirement was to minimise the areas of disagreement between the parties such that the Appeal Inquiry sessions can concentrate on any outstanding areas of dispute. 1.4 The joint statement requires to be lodged by 29 November 2013. This report seeks to resolve: (a) the Panel’s position on the joint statement which has been produced; and (b) the Panel’s view on the planning application such that Officers can advise DPEA of Stirling Council’s position in the forthcoming Appeal. -
