[email protected] Richard began his career as a writer at Turner Broadcasting, scripting for classic Cartoon Network characters such as Scooby Doo, The Powerpuff Girls, and Johnny Bravo. He later returned as freelance Head Writer to develop, script and script-edit all three series of Cartoon Network’s live-action/animated quiz-com Skatoony, nominated for a Children’s BAFTA in 2007. Since then Richard has delivered a range of on-air and online scripts, comedy concepts, and development work for pre-schoolers to teens, including Olly the Little White Van for C5, Trust Me, I’m A Genie for CBBC, Spooky Skaters for Studio Liddell, live-action teen comedy/drama Action Zac for Endemol Australia, Chugga Chugga Wow for Marblemedia in Canada, as well as the shows Rusty Knight and Coconut the Little Dragon for German studio Caligari. Richard has also recently started to age up his work, developing a teen sitcom for Caligari, and a promenade theatre production working with addicts in recovery to share their stories. His recent Digital & Shortform work includes Dennis the Menace, Doc McStuffins, Get Moving With Mickey Mouse, Disney Lego Star Wars, and Egmont Publishing’s online world, Jelly Pie.
