FULL BIO: With musical roots in country, rock, and soul, Kayla Woodson's influences range from Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to Journey and Guns ‘N Roses, along with country stars such as Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood. Combining her powerful vocals with her strong stage presence, Kayla has started to make her mark on Music City. From a spur of the moment opportunity to jump on stage and perform with Lady Antebellum to mentions on national and local radio shows, Nashville is taking notice. Growing up in the small town of Waggaman, Louisiana, Kayla was a little girl with a big voice and a love for the stage. At age seven, she started playing the Texas/Louisiana Opry circuit and, by age ten, she was fronting her own band and performing at parades, parties, and festivals across the region. In 2004, Kayla took her talents to Italy to train at the Bocelli School of Music then later that year to Romania to represent the United States at the Golden Star Children’s International Talent Fest, where she took 2nd place in the world. By age fifteen, Kayla was writing her own music and released an album titled I’m Movin’ On, which included four of her original songs. In the fall of 2012, Kayla took a leap of faith and made the move to Nashville to study at Belmont University following the footsteps of country superstars and Belmont alumni such as Trisha Yearwood, Brad Paisley, and Lee Ann Womack. 2015 was a whirlwind year for Kayla that included her first performance on the Hard Rock stage at CMA Music Fest, shows with her band up and down Nashville’s famed Broadway, and the release of her first single “Fan for the Flame” to country radio. Since moving to Music City, Kayla has taken the time to focus on and develop her songwriting. In 2016, she released her self-titled EP, Kayla Woodson – EP, which is a collection of five original songs written or co-written by Kayla. Having had her hand in every aspect of the creation of this project, Kayla is confident that it represents the artist into which she has matured. More recently, she was a contestant on NBC's The Voice Season 14, after which she released her newest single "Unfixable." Joining her impressive vocal ability along with her powerful, sassy stage presence, Kayla is eager to share her sassy, soulful brand of country music with audiences around the world. .

  • CHRIS KNIGHT Almost Daylight
CHRIS KNIGHT Almost Daylight “It’s hard to know how people are gonna react,” Chris Knight says of Almost Daylight, his ninth album and first new recording in over seven years. “I’ve written songs about a lot of different things going all the way back to my first record, and some folks still think ‘somebody kills somebody’ is all I write about. Maybe that’s why I was bound and determined to get these particular songs on this album. If people like them, then we’ll be fine. But I wasn’t gonna do it any other way.” For the past 20 years, Chris Knight has only made music his own way. He’s released eight acclaimed albums, played thousands of electrifying live shows and built generations of fervent fans from Texas honky-tonks to Manhattan rock clubs. He’s been hailed as “the last of a dying breed…a taciturn loner with an acoustic guitar and a college degree” (The New York Times) and “a storyteller in the best traditions of Mellencamp and Springsteen” (USA Today). Bottom line, he’s hard-earned his reputation as one of America’s most uncompromising and respected singer/songwriters. And now with Almost Daylight, Knight delivers the most powerful – and unexpected – music of his career. Almost Daylight is very much a Chris Knight album, familiarly featuring vivid pictures of rural characters, desperate men and hardscrabble survivors. At the same time it’s unlike anything Knight has done before, with formidable testaments to compassion, redemption and even straight-up love. It’s an album both tough and tender, as bare-knuckled as it is open-hearted.
