Th e seams need to be stretched out and the stiff material must form around your body. Th is process will inevitably take some time over several training sessions and should be done before a match. It must be done both with standard sizes and made to measure jackets and pants. Here Hanna Etula shows how to not test a jacket, left, and how to do it correctly on the right. With arms hanging down and buttons open even her own jacket, which she used in the Beijing Olympics, seems to be too small. WHAT IS ISSF SHOOTING JACKET OVERLAP? According to ISSF (International Sport Shooting Federation) rule 7.4.7.2: ‘...the jacket must be capable of being overlapped beyond the normal closure by at least 70 mm, measured from the centre of the button to the outside edge of the button hole’. NOT SHOOTING ISSF MATCHES? If you do not compete in matches where ISSF rules are applied this rule does not concern you at all. Th e ISSF rules are made for competitions where World Records can be made. To use these rather complicated and strict rules in small competitions is not always very wise. Welcome and Opening of the General Assembly The ESC President Vladimir Lisin welcomes the delegates, colleagues of the Presidium, guests and observers to the XXV Ordinary General Assembly of the European Shooting Confederation. He remarks that it is a special pleasure that the General Assembly is being attended by so many participants. He also mentions that the agenda of the meeting contains many important items. Among them are several activity reports, membership matters, information on modifications of the ISSF Constitution, discussion on the “Development program”, elections of the hosts of the European Championships in 2018-2019. The President expresses the hope that the decisions of the General Assembly will benefit the future of the shooting sport in Europe. With a special pleasure Vladimir Lisin underlines that the President of the International Shooting Sport Federation Olegario Vázquez Raña and the Secretary General Franz Schreiber have sent a letter wishing the ESC a successful General Assembly. The ESC President declares the General Assembly open and gives the floor to the Vice- President of the National Olympic Committee of Slovenia, Olympic Champion Iztok Cop who addresses the delegates with a welcome speech. Then the ESC President asks the ESC Secretary General Alexander Ratner to proceed with the Agenda. 2. Roll-call The Secretary General proceeded to the roll-call. It showed that delegates of 41 Member Federations from 39 countries were present in the meeting room. Another 5 Member Federations were represented by proxies duly submitted in writing according to the Statutes.

    London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited Official results book Shooting 28 July – 6 August ISSF President Letter On behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation – ISSF – we thank the athletes for their excellent performances in the Olympic Shooting Events of the XXX Olympic Games in London 2012. We express our thanks and appreciation to the organizers of these Olympic Games for their great efforts and the excellent organization of these unforgettable 10 days of outstanding shooting sport. The temporary shooting venue at the Royal Artillery Barracks demonstrated its excellent functionality during the Pre-Olympic Test Event “London Prepares” and ISSF World Cup in April 2012, when about 800 athletes participated in all Olympic Events. Thanks to the professional design and the excellent layout of the various ranges this Olympic Venue proofed to be an iconic Shooting Venue hosting the Olympic Shooting Events. It was a great pleasure and a unique experience for 390 athletes, from 108 countries from all 5 continents to be part of theses outstanding Olympic Games. All the officials, referees, judges and volunteers made their contribution to bring the shooting events of the XXX Olympic Games in London 2012 to a great success. The fantastic crowd of spectators who filled the ranges and especially the Finals Ranges enjoyed excellent performances and results of our great athletes. The spectators with their enthusiastic applause and reactions created an incredible atmosphere for all athletes to give their extra ordinary performances. The people of the host country of Great Britain have shown that they are great sport fans and we once again thank them for their great hospitality.
