Autumn in Japan is a time of year when the days are sunny, comfortable and refreshing. It is the perfect season to get some exercise, enjoy autumn colors and enjoy art. In this issue, we will describe the Jingu Gaien neighborhood, where you can enjoy autumn to the fullest. Why not step out and enjoy the best of the season?     渋谷区 Shibuya City Chapter 1 1Shibuya City Urban Characteristics Shibuya City Urban Characteristics and Roles The Present In consideration of plans for the industry and tourism sectors to make Shibuya City a mature, international city, it is important to first identify its current urban characteristics. With this in mind, the Japan Power Cities index (Mori Memorial Foundation) was used for analysis. Japan Power Cities analyzes the main cities 1 of Japan including the 23 wards of Tokyo in the six functions of city power The Present of Shibuya City (Economy & Business, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Daily Life & Livability, Environment, and Accessibility) and 83 indicators identifying the Industry and Tourism strengths and weaknesses of cities. In the total score for the 23 wards of Tokyo, the survey ranks Shibuya City in fifth place overall, fourth place in the functions of Economy & Business, Cultural Interaction, and Accessibility, and fifth place in Daily Life & Livability, whereas it ranks low in ninth place for Research & Development (see figure at top and table at bottom of p. 9). Furthermore, when narrowing down the viewpoints for industry and tourism and looking at the deviation scores in each indicator group, groups such as Business Vitality, Business Environment, and Financial Affairs in Economy & Business are ranked highly as shown in the figure on the top of page ten. Even among these areas, indicators such as Ratio of New Businesses and Density of Flexible Workplaces are strong (see table on bottom of p. 10). Also, as shown in the figure in the middle of page ten, in Cultural Interaction, groups such as Volume of Interaction, Volume of Communication, and Intangible Resources are strengths.

La tenue des com- pétitions olympiques est aujourd’hui confirmée. L’an passé, le Comité international olympique, le Comité international paralympique et le Comité d’organisation s’étaient résignés à reporter l’ouverture des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de Tokyo d’une année. Cette décision, É inédite, avait figé la Flamme olympique à Fukushima et mis en suspens tout le mouvement olympique - à commencer par les athlètes - dans l’attente d’une réponse scientifique au virus, avec l’espoir que les Jeux Olympiques incarnent le soleil levant sur une Humanité sortie de crise. La solution vaccinale a permis d’éclairer quelque peu l’horizon de Tokyo 2020 et les Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques se tiendront bien, mais autrement. En effet, l’universalité des DI athlètes dans le stade ne se retrouvera pas dans les tribunes. Une expérience différente sera proposée aux délégations, contrainte en termes de déplacement et de contact avec le public ou les médias, afin de préserver la santé de tous. Après cinq ans d’attente et de préparation, dont une année d’incertitudes durant laquelle nombre de compétitions et de tournois de qualification olympiques ont été reportés, TO l’équipe de France sera au rendez-vous. Elle y arrivera motivée... Motivée par l’envie et l’énergie accumulées depuis un an de retenue. Motivée par une volonté commune de redonner du baume au cœur des Français.
