Dewhirst tied the NCAA Division I record with a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in Jacksonville’s 56-14 PFL victory against Marist, Saturday. The interception came in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter and killed a Marist drive that had reached the 14-yard line. It is the second interception returned 100 yards in the FCS this season. He also recorded a pair of tackles and a pass breakup in the contest. It was Dewhirst’s third interception this season. James Vercammen, Dayton u Senior, Flyer, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Vercammen forced two critical fourth-quarter fumbles to help Dayton down Campbell, 41-23, in PFL action, Saturday. His tackle of C.J. Oates led to a fumble that Dayton recovered at the Campbell 34-yard line and set up the Flyers second score of the quarter.
