A High Streamflow Advisory has been issued for the following rivers and their tributaries in the North Saskatchewan River basin: · North Saskatchewan River (downstream of Bighorn Dam including the City of Edmonton) · Rose Creek near Alder Flats These rivers are currently rising in response to intense precipitation which fell yesterday and this morning.

A Flood Watch has been downgraded to a High Streamflow Advisory for the following stream in the North Saskatchewan River:
· Atim Creek near Spruce Grove
This stream has peaked and is currently falling slowly.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for the following rivers and their tributaries in the Athabasca River basin: · Miette River near Jasper · Athabasca River upstream of Hinton (including Hinton and Jasper)
A Flood Watch remains in effect for the following rivers and their tributaries in the North Saskatchewan River basin: · Brazeau River upstream of the Brazeau Dam · Clearwater River including Prairie Creek · Ram River
A Flood Watch remains in effect for the following rivers and its tributaries in the Bow River basin: · Bow River upstream of and including Banff · Jumpingpound Creek
A Flood Watch remains in effect for the following river and its tributaries in the Red Deer River basin: · Red Deer River upstream of Dickson Dam

A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect for the following rivers and their tributaries in the North Saskatchewan River basin: · Brown Creek · North Saskatchewan River upstream of Lake Abraham · Nordegg River
A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect for the following rivers and their tributaries in the Red Deer River basin: · Medicine River near Eckville · James River · Raven River · Little Red Deer River · Bearberry Creek near Sundre · Blindman River
A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect for the following rivers and their tributaries in the Bow River basin: · Bow River downstream of Banff (including Canmore, Calgary and Hidden Valley) · Nose Creek (including Airdrie and Calgary) · Highwood River (including High River) · Fish Creek · Threepoint Creek · Sheep River (including Okotoks, Black Diamond and Turner Valley) · Ghost River · Waiparous Creek · Elbow River upstream of the Glenmore Dam These streams are currently rising and are expected to continue to rise due to snowmelt caused by the recent above average temperatures, and to the heavy precipitation which fell yesterday and today.

This advisory will be updated if the situation changes. ------A High Streamflow Advisory means that stream levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly and no major flooding is expected. Minor flooding in low -lying areas is possible. Anyone situated close to the streams affected (campers, fishermen, boaters and the general public) is advised to be cautious of the rising levels. ------A Flood Watch means that stream levels are rising and will approach or may exceed bank full. Flooding of areas adjacent to these streams may occur. Anyone situated close to the streams is advised to take appropriate precautionary measures. ------A Flood Warning means that rising river levels will result in flooding of areas adjacent to the streams affected. Anyone situated close to the river should take appropriate measures to avoid flood damage ------
