Retired Milwaukee Bucks’ court arrives at its new home The Action Floor Systems installation crew is in the nation of Georgia ahead of the August grand opening for its youth basketball academy. MERCER, Wis. – The hardwood court that has played home to a number of Milwaukee Bucks games has arrived at its new home this month in Tbilisi, Georgia. Soon the court will be back in action as the centerpiece of the Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy. “It is so exciting to see this project come together,” said Tom Abendroth, president of Action Floor Systems, LLC. “In our company’s 26-year history, this is certainly one of our most memorable projects. The entire Action Floors team has pulled together to make this project a reality for Zaza and the children at the youth basketball academy.” Earlier this year, Action Floor Systems, a leading manufacturer of premium hardwood maple sports floors, partnered with the Golden State Warriors Center, Zaza Pachulia, to load, ship, and install the court in Pachulia’s native country of Georgia. The idea started when Pachulia noticed the old floor at the youth basketball camp in Tbilisi was the same floor A recent photo of Pachulia and the students he trained on as a child. of the Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy. When the Bucks chose to install a new Action Floor Systems court in the Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Bradley Center Pachulia saw the opportunity to update the Tbilisi basketball camp floor and purchased the retired court from the facility’s management corporation. In Pachulia’s 13-year NBA career he played a total of three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. “Our team will be hard at work until the grand opening and when those kids get to play their first game on the new court, that will be a very special moment for us all,” said Abendroth. ### About Action Floor Systems Action Floor Systems produces hardwood sports floors at the company’s Mercer, Wis. plant.
