Mackina c Island/Grand Hotel Trip

St. Ignace/Mackinac Island June 28 – July 1, 2021

A “Bucket List” trip for sure! Our motor coach starts us out with a stop at Green Bay Botanical Gardens including a box lunch. A beautiful ride along Wisconsin and Michigan shores to St. Ignace for our overnight stay. We begin our Mackinac Experience with a ferry ride to the island. An exciting two-night stay at the Grand Hotel includes breakfasts and gourmet dinners at the famed resort hotel. Explore the island on a carriage tour. Shops and sights are yours! Leaving the island by ferry will bring us to Mackinaw City to enjoy a bus trip over the Mackinac Bridge which begins our trip homeward. MACKINAC ISLAND/GRAND HOTEL TRIP Itinerary Synopsis *All Itineraries subject to change.

Day 1: After our 8:30 am departure from the Y, we have a fun day of travel ahead to begin a wonderful adventure for sure! Our first stop will be at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens where we will enjoy a self-guided tour of the beautiful gardens followed by an included box lunch. Our overnight stay will be at the Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront in St. Ignace. Included dinner will follow check in. Your evening can be spent relaxing at the hotel on the Lake Huron shore (indoor or outdoor pool) or visiting the St. Ignace Kewadin Casino to gamble a little! (Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2: Enjoy an included free breakfast at the hotel before leaving to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Once on the island you will have time on your own to explore downtown and have lunch. Afterwards you will have a horse-drawn carriage ride tour of the island. We will check in at the Grand Hotel at 4 pm. Enjoy a fabulous five-course dinner at the hotel this evening! Time afterward to explore the beautiful hotel, and enjoy live music and dancing. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3: A day on your own! Breakfast and dinner at the Grand Hotel are included in your day’s activities. The hotel will have numerous activities scheduled throughout the day. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 4: After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, we will check out at 11 am. Another ferry ride will bring us to Mackinaw City where we will board our bus and travel across the Mackinac Bridge. (Box lunch on the bus provided.) We continue our trip back home with a rest stop in Escanaba and Green Bay. We will arrive back at the YMCA having had a memorable trip to Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel! (Breakfast, Lunch)

PLEASE NOTE: Since the Grand Hotel is a resort, casual resort clothing is appropriate during the day (no sweatpants or cutoff shorts, please). After 6:30 pm, dresses, skirts, blouses, dress sweaters, and dress slacks for ladies are preferred while gentlemen are required to wear a suitcoat, necktie, and dress pants.
