Fuel: Fernie BC – Petro Canada, Mobil Gas Bar Jasper AB (all services) Other services Canmore AB, Sparwood BC, Crowsnest BC, Longview AB, Road: Travel east to AB HWY 22 (Cowboy Trail), then North to Longview, turn west on AB 541 which becomes AB HWY 40 (seasonally closed to June 15, annually). Follow AB 40 north to HWY 1, then west to AB 93, and finally north on AB 93 to Jasper. NOTE: using AB 93 requires a Parks Canada pass obtainable at the entrance of Banff National Park, or by mail in advance from Parks Canada. Stopping in Banff, or Lake Louise also require the same pass. Rest stops: Kananaskis Village, Longview AB, Canmore AB Saskatchewan River Crossing gas station Various rustic facilities. Plan ahead! Columbia Icefields (headwaters of rivers that flow to each of the Arctic, Pacific and Atlantic oceans) on AB HWY 93. Optional tourist side trips to Banff, and Lake Louise. Calgary, if you have need of Porsche repairs (dealer and independent) Accommodations can be expensive and scarce, book ahead! You may want to consider stopping at Canmore for the night..
