The American Physiological Society (APS) journals serve a committed community of investigators by providing a home for important physiology research. APS delivers a robust and fair publishing process managed by working scientists, offers quick decisions and publication, supports authors and their various specialties, and promotes and amplifies the author’s work via a world-class platform. Our publications meet the needs of researchers, educators, fellows, students, clinicians and others in the physiological and biological sciences. Journals APS publishes 15 distinguished multidisciplinary scientific journals as well as books dedicated to the advancement of physiological research, which has formed the basis for many biomedical advances. Our highly regarded, peer-reviewed journals examine major physiological systems from the cellular and molecular to the organ and system levels.

APS journals are published and distributed solely by APS, with the exception of Physiology, which is published jointly with the International Union of Physiological Sciences; Comprehensive Physiology, which is published on behalf of APS by Wiley-Blackwell; and Physiological Reports, which is published jointly on behalf of APS and The Physiological Society by Wiley-Blackwell.
