The awesome team from the Kind Grocer have opened a bright new, airy café featuring a menu of delicious and indulgent vegan and vegetarian dishes that are all real crowd- pleasers. By night the space transforms into a bar, serving botanical cocktails that are as beautiful to look at as they are to drink.

Patti's and Cream – Scoop Shop

The very excellent Patti’s and Cream food truck folks have made a permanent home for their cult-status hand-made ice cream in the thriving suburb of Mornington. Swing by for a mega-scoop of their regular and seasonal flavours, including tasty temptations such as beer and nuts, pear and blue cheese and London fog. The chilled-out food truck is also still appearing at its usual spots around the city to serve ice-cream and delicious burgers.

Food Truck Market

A new monthly food truck market is coming to central Dunedin, just in time for the warmer months. The market kicks off on 17 October between 3-7pm in the picturesque grounds of First Church with around eight food trucks as well as music and other entertainment adding to vibe. Additional markets will be held on 14 November and 12 December as part of an initial trial. Bring your picnic rug, reusable cups and an appetite.

Hot off the pancake press, Jooni’s Crepes will open on George Street this Saturday 26 September, serving up decadent stuffed crepes in handy paper cones. Chow down on oreo explosion, caramel crunch, Jooni’s special and more. We anticipate a stampede.

Auckland indie-pop phenomenon and rising global superstar BENEE will thrill her fans at this concert in the Dunedin Town Hall, site of past concerts by . BENEE, singer of , Tough Guy and Soaked recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and has been on a meteoric rise to stardom.

Dinosaur rEvolution Opens 26 September

Get up close to giant animatronic dinosaurs, skulls, skeletons and fossil casts at this exciting new international exhibition at the Otago Museum. Opening in the second week of the spring school holidays, there will be a whole host of extra activities in and around the museum for families to engage with, including communal art projects, planetarium shows, a dino disco and fossil finding. The Tasting Room – OUSA 7 October, 6pm-9pm

In the lead up to the legendary Dunedin Craft Beer and Food Festival, why not get a head-start and try out seven different beers from the east coast matched with tasting plates from Vault 21. Film action 11-12 October

October welcomes two simultaneous film festivals that focus on all things energetic and inspiring. First up is the Trails in Motion Film Tour on Sunday 11 October, which presents a collection of trail and ultramarathon films from across the globe, including Dunedin- based ultra-runner Anna ‘Frosty’ Frost.

For cycling enthusiasts, Monday 12 October has your name all over it as the Big Bike Film Night hits the screen at the Rialto, showcasing everything a cycle-centric audience could ask for.
