02 Overview of Taicang Port Economic & Technological Development Zone

Taicang Port Economic & Technological Develop- ment Zone (shortend as “TPDZ”), was established in 1993 and upgraded to the national-level devel- opment zone in 2011. It’s the only national-level Economic & Technological Development Zone in Taicang with a golden coastline of 38.8km along the Yangtze River. The planed land area of TPDZ is 261.8 square kilometers, of which 144 square kilometers are under its actual jurisdiction.
