IMPORTANT NOTE: Re-registration for the following school year is contingent upon all tuition and fees, including extended day care, being current and up to date. Families that are not current on payments by March 15 will be placed on a waiting list and will be unable to enroll for the following school year until full payment is made; this situation could result in the loss of seats for your students. Additionally, families that are still not current by April 15 will not be eligible to re-enroll for the following school year and will be referred to any attorney or collection agency.

ADMISSION POLICY No student is admitted to St. Mary Catholic School without first subscribing to the philosophy, curriculum, religious activities, and educational and disciplinary guidelines of St. Mary Catholic School in their entirety. ST. MARY CATHOLIC PARISH AND SCHOOL Criteria For Affiliated Catholic Tuition Rate

St. Mary Catholic Parish is a stewardship community. Stewardship is a spiritual and practical expression of modern, Christian discipleship. Spiritually, stewardship begins with the awareness that all we have is a gift from God. While we are to use our many blessings for our own benefit, we are also to share them for the good of others. In this way, the Lord continues to minister to others through our loving service, and we continue to build up the Kingdom of God. Therefore, stewardship consists of the giving of time, talent and treasure. In giving of these to St. Mary’s, the mission of the parish is fulfilled, and the ministerial work of the Church is advanced. Practically, stewardship provides a lifestyle grounded in trust of God’s providence, enriched by constant thanksgiving and charity, and committed to spiritual growth.

The spirit of stewardship forms the criteria for those seeking the Affiliated Catholic Tuition Rate because the practice of stewardship is a sign of your investment in the mission and ministries of the parish and the universal Church. These criteria are widely held throughout the Archdiocese of Denver and serve as the policy for St. Mary Catholic Parish and School.

To receive the Affiliated Catholic Tuition Rate, all four of the following criteria must be met:

1. You are a registered parishioner of a Catholic Parish. The parish office must have a record of your registration on file.

2. You attend Mass on a regular basis. Regular Mass attendance by St. Mary Catholic School families on the weekend is vital to the formation of our children. St. Mary students learn that Sunday is a Holy Day of Obligation and are conflicted when that is not lived by the family on the weekend. The Friday All School Mass does not substitute for Sunday Mass. Please make every effort to make regular Mass attendance a priority.

3. You must offer service within the parish and school on a faithful basis. The parish maintains a current database of those who hold positions in its various ministries and the school keeps track of those who volunteer. Please make certain you note your service.

4. You must establish a regular and consistent pattern of giving to the Sunday offering, for example giving weekly or monthly. The Sunday offering is the primary source of income to support the mission and ministries of the parish. In addition, part of the Sunday offering is used to subsidize the school, which actually keeps our tuition rate down. St. Mary parishioners must establish a regular and consistent pattern of giving to the Sunday Offertory, for example, weekly, or bi-weekly, through contribution envelopes or Online Giving. If you have questions about establishing a regular and consistent pattern of giving, Online Giving, or about the pledge card, please contact our business office at 303-798-8506.

The attached acknowledgement form must accompany your signed Affiliated Tuition Contract.

FAMILY OUT-OF-PARISH AFFILIATION St. Mary Catholic School

2020 – 2021 Academic School Year

The family out-of-parish affiliation form is used to determine if a family/parent/ guardian qualifies for the affiliated tuition rate as a registered member of their parish. On an annual basis, the Family Out-of-Parish Affiliation Form must be submitted by the family and signed by their pastor in order for the family/parent/ guardian to receive the Affiliated Tuition rate. Parish affiliation is defined as families who are registered members of an Archdiocese of Denver parish and whose children are enrolled in an archdiocesan elementary school not in their parish of membership for kindergarten or a higher grade, or one of the two archdiocesan-operated high schools. These families are eligible to receive the affiliated Catholic tuition rate if they meet the following criteria: 1) The family has been registered in the parish for at least six (6) months. 2) The family verifiably contributes, according to their means, on a regular basis to the financial support of the parish. 3) The family attends weekend Mass regularly and is involved in the activities, organizations or programs at the parish. ------

To be completed by Family/Parent/Guardian on an annual basis.

If approved by the pastor, students in kindergarten through 8th grade will qualify for out-of-parish affiliated tuition.

It is the responsibility of the local-level principal, pastor and business manager to determine the internal process to track and validate “in-parish” affiliation. The family out-of-parish affiliation form is used to track and validate out-of-parish family affiliation only. AoDCS, OCS February 10, 2014.
