Pm- Every Time I Die-21.06.2016 Pdf FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH Große Elbstr. 277 a ∙ 22767 Hamburg Tel. 277 a ∙ 22767 Hamburg Tel. • Jude the Obscure Official Biography
Jude the Obscure Official Biography Jude the Obscure, circa 2003 Jude the Obscure had a very comfortable place in the Ontario math-core/noisecore scene throughout its existence. I believe they were the first to be called “chaoticore”. Prior to the forming of this band, Grant Freifeld (“Fuzz” on bass), Jason Rice (“Jaundice” on drums) and Chuck Leach (“the Bank”/”Bankenstein” on guitar) played together in a slew of Grimsby, Ontario high school bands, often changing name every few months. When in 1998 they decided to go “heavier”, they asked a guy in their high school who was wearing a Snapcase shirt if he wanted to to be their signer; that was James Long (“Jimbo”). With Jimbo in, Jude the Obscure was born. The final addition was one of Jason’s coworker, Jordan Passfield who was brought in as an experimental guitar player. “A New Life of Painful Sin” demo, 1999 “A New Life of Painful Sin” demo, 1999 Their first show was a house show with Rise Over Run. In 1999 they recorded 3 songs at Scott Bialik’s small basement studio, soundDOME Studio, in Hamilton, live right off the floor. Jude self-released it as their first demo “A New Life of Painful Sin”. Everyone who ever talks about this demo doesn’t speak of it nicely. Nevertheless it is a good representation of what early 2000 metalcore was like. Poster advertising “A Perfect Place” on Punx Without Mohawx Records Their high school friends, Rise Over Run, had gotten signed to the Quebec label Punx Without Mohawx Records, so Jude sent them their demo as well.

It’s been another fun year at CD Central! Certainly one filled with ups and downs (thinking about the Limestone road project here) but the bottom line is we’ve enjoyed bringing some great music to Lexington, both live and on disc. This booklet is our annual recap of some of the year’s brightest musical highlights. One of the great things we can look back at this year is our participation in Local First Lexington. All of the members of LFL are locally-owned, independent businesses who do great things for our community. • “Extinction(S)”
“Extinction(s)” Available as: CD, orange LP + CD, Digital Album Release Date: November 23rd , 2018 UNEARTH etched their name into the annals of hard rock history through unrelenting determination, tireless energy and a catalog of stone cold classics. Two decades into a triumphant career, the Massachusetts-bred New Wave of American Heavy Metal trailblazers are both elder statesmen and newly relevant all over again. With over a half million albums sold around the globe, UNEARTH’S astounding legacy has never been more self- evident. Festival vets and road warrior renegades, UNEARTH was a standout in a sea of worthy contenders on the final cross-country Warped Tour. Immediately upon its release in 2018, “Incinerate,” the first single from their seventh studio album, shot to Number 1 on SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s “The Devil’s Dozen” and was among the Top 100 most played songs on Amazon Music. The hunger for new music from UNEARTH was palpable and Extinction(s) delivered in spades. There could be no clearer demonstration of the band’s resilience and the unwavering passion of their worldwide fanbase - a diverse legion of heavy music acolytes who live and breathe the community, culture, and lifestyle UNEARTH represents. Extinction(s) is as much a statement of purpose as a declaration of intent, reigniting the flame of their established strengths and carving a pathway for another two decades of creative accomplishment and inspired live performances. The album is full of venom toward the wrongs of the world, fighting back against the precarious position civilization is in, determined to effect some kind of change.

Tremont Bricks and Picks words: Ellen Gurley photos of Tremont and bricks: Justin Driscoll photos of guitar picks: courtesy of Brian Carpenter Not all heroes have capes. Sometimes they just show up with trucks. Justin Driscoll and Brian Carpenter are two of those heroes. If there’s one thing that I have learned, having lived in Charlotte all of my forty years, it is that we cannot become attached to property. This is not an invitation to an open ended conversation about growth or gentrification, it is a call for the preservation of memories. Stay with me. Justin Driscoll became a man within the walls of Tremont Music Hall. Upon learning of their demolition, he hauled as many bricks as he could over to Neal Harper. Driscoll dragged the Tremont yellow bricks over to Harper who engraved them with the logo. In an attempt to hold onto something very precious to themselves, they put their sadness and anger in the trash and presented those instrumental with their own brick. Now every time Driscoll walks by his personal chunk of history, he can hear Converge, Glass Jaw, Snapcase, the Deftones, Green Day, Earth Crisis, the Gaslight Anthem, BoySetsFire, Fugazi, Social Distortion, Rancid, the Business, Shai Hulud, Poison The Well, Agnostic Front, ALL, H20, Avail, Hot Water Music, Helmet, Hatebreed, AFI, Offspring, Prayer for Cleansing, Bane, Comeback Kid, Defeater, BTBAM, Cro-Mags, Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan, Finch, Hopesfall, Candiria, Beloved, Zao, Evergreen Terrace, the Henry Rollins Band, A Life Once Lost, Bleeding Through, Hank the Third, Bayside, the Misfits, Gregg Allman, Neurosis, Soulfly, Tom Morello, letlive, Murs, Simon Says, 36 Crazyfists, Cave In, Cursive, ANTiSEEN, Five Times Down, Clout, Setback, Black Acid Disco, 14 Feet Wide, Swift, He Is Legend, the Beatdowns, Glass Casket, Wretched, Atreyu, From Autumn to Ashes, Reflux, Animals as Leaders, the Casualties, ASG, Devil Driver, Superjoint Ritual, and, as he says, “every local band ever”.
