On Sept 28, the Cleveland Heights defense stood tall in the second half as the Tigers defeated league-rival Lorain, 31-23. Cleveland Heights jumped out to a big lead then Lorain scored the last 23 points of the first half to lead 23-19 at the break. The Tiger defense twice had goal-line stands in the second half. Cleveland Heights forced Lorain to turn the ball over on downs six times in the game. Overall, the Tigers finished in second place in the Lake Erie League with a 4-1 record, the only loss being week 10 vs Maple Heights.
