Page 4 of 10 Christmas Parades December 1 and 2 This was the year to participate in a parade. The nights were calm and mild for both the Manitou Springs Parade and the Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade.

Doing double duty by participating in both parades were Dick and Pat Strauch, Erica Miller & Josh Chilcote, Tom Ury, Steve & Anita Smith, and Tom Phillips. Making it a family affair at the Manitou parade Strauch’s son-in-law Scott and daughter Tina drove the Strauch’s 2nd Corvette.

Filling out the group at the Colorado Springs parade were Tim & Elaine Collins, Luther & Janet Benson, Mike Trees and Margie.

Thanks to Pat Strauch and Tom Ury for coordinating the parade plans.

We had well over 100 people in attendance. The appetizers were awesome, and the festive atmosphere was increased by several people wearing fantastic holiday costumes. After a wonderful buffet dinner; 18 door prizes; members were treated to a video composed by Chris Capshaw that captured many of the members at various events from 2017. Then, if things couldn’t get better, members were treated to an awesome accordion solo by Joe Chiachieri (club member) and a repeat performance for the musical group, Velcro. To top off the night, the Club had a special present for each primary member…a six-pack size cooler with the Club logo.
