Everyone here at the Reppe Ranch is very excited to offer you the finest set of bulls, we’ve ever offered to date. These ranch raised bulls our selected from over 1000 registered dams. Only the elite bulls get offered for sale each year. At weaning time we make our selection on who becomes a bull or not. We don’t look at any numbers, epds, or pedigree. We solely make our decision on the bull himself. He has to be sound structured, phenotypically attractive, easy fleshing, muscular, and docile. After weaning time the bulls are put on a high roughage diet to put on natural muscle not fat. The maternal background will be as good as it gets, every dam at our place has to meet our strict standards. The dams behind these bulls have to have great mothering instincts, fleshing ability, udder quality, foot quality, and superb dispositions. If they fail to meet any of these qualities they are gone. Rest assured these bulls will produce an outstanding set of replacement females. All bulls will have passed a semen test prior to the sale and will have been given their pre breeding shots. The sim angus bulls will be tested for coat color. Those results will be available sale day. The angus bull’s CW,REA,IMF, and $B epds were not updated as of catalog print time. We will have a supplement sheet with updated information on our website and on DVauction.com when available. Again this year we are going to take frame scores on all bulls. We try and offer you as much information as possible to make your decision making easier. The photos on sale bulls were taken by us, by no means are we (professional) photographers! The bulls pictured are absolutely no better then the non pictured bulls, we just ran in a pen of bulls to try and get a few pictures to try and represent the bulls the best we could, calving in below zero temps doesn’t leave a guy with much extra time to take pictures. We truly feel each and every bull in the sale has loads of potential to make a positive impact on your operation. Again this year we will have an all video sale, no bulls will go through the sale ring. We strongly encourage you to come out ahead of time and go through the bulls and analyze them in person. If we have to postpone sale because of bad weather, we will notify you through DVauction.com, or website repperanch.com. We will also let you know through local radio stations or just give us a call. With that we would like to thank all our past customers for having faith in our operation. You are truly the driving force that keeps us pushing harder and harder each year to try and develop the best bulls possible. We welcome you to come out to the ranch anytime prior to the sale and go through the sale offering, we would be honored to show you around. If you have any questions about our operation or the sale offering please feel free to call as we would thoroughly enjoy visiting with you. It is the nation’s clock, instantly recognizable, and brought into Britain’s homes everyday by the BBC. It is part of the nation’s heritage and has long been established as the nation’s timepiece heralding almost every broadcast of national importance. On the morning of August 5th 1976 at 3:45 AM a catastrophe occurred to the movement of the great clock in Westminster Palace. The damage was so great that for a brief time it was considered to be beyond repair and a new way to move the hands on the four huge exterior dials was considered. How did this happen and more importantly why did this happen and how could such a disaster to one of the world’s great horological treasures be prevented from happening again? Let us first go through a brief history leading up to the creation of the clock.

  • Danny the Champion of the World
Roald Dahl Danny the Champion of the World 1 The Filling-station When I was four months old, my mother died suddenly and my father was left to look after me all by himself. This is how I looked at the time. I had no brothers or sisters. So all through my boyhood, from the age of four months onward, there were just the two of us, my father and me. We lived in an old gipsy caravan behind a filling-station. My father owned the filling-station and the caravan and a small field behind, but that was about all he owned in the world. It was a very small filling-station on a small country road surrounded by fields and woody hills. While I was still a baby, my father washed me and fed me and changed my nappies and did all the millions of other things a mother normally does for her child. That is not an easy task for a man, especially when he has to earn his living at the same time by repairing motor-car engines and serving customers with petrol. But my father didn’t seem to mind. I think that all the love he had felt for my mother when she was alive he now lavished upon me. During my early years, I never had a moment’s unhappiness or illness and here I am on my fifth birthday. I was now a scruffy little boy as you can see, with grease and oil all over me, but that was because I spent all day in the workshop helping my father with the cars.

  • The Under Secretary
The Under Secretary by William Le Queux The Under Secretary Chapter One. Is mainly about a Man. Two o’clock—two o’clock in the morning. The bells had just chimed the hour. Big Ben had boomed forth its deep and solemn note over sleeping London. The patient constable on point-duty at the foot of Westminster Bridge had stamped his feet for the last time, and had been relieved by his colleague, who gave him the usual pass-word, “All right.” The tumultuous roar of traffic, surging, beating, pulsating, had long ago ceased, but the crowd of smart broughams and private hansoms still stood in New Palace Yard, while from the summit of St. Stephen’s tower the long ray of electricity streamed westward, showing that the House of Commons was still sitting. The giant Metropolis, the throbbing heart of the greatest empire the world has known, was silent. London, the city of varying moods, as easily pleased, as easily offended as a petted child; London, the dear, smoke-blackened old city, which every Englishman loves and every foreigner admires; London, that complex centre of the universe, humdrum and prosaic, yet ever mysterious, poetic and wonderful, the city full of the heart’s secrets and of life’s tragedies, slept calmly and in peace while her legislators discussed and decided the policy of the Empire. The long rows of light on the deserted terrace and along the opposite shore in front of St. Thomas’s Hospital threw their shimmering reflection upon the black waters of the Thames; the cold wind swept roughly up the river, causing the gas-jets to flicker, so that the few shivering outcasts who had taken refuge on the steps of the closed doorway of Westminster Station, murmured as they pulled their rags more tightly round them.

Visit our website at www.dibels.org. Revised 5/17/10 How to Make Dill Pickles Would you like to make a tasty treat that’s fun to eat anytime? Try making your own dill pickles! Start by gathering the ingredients and kitchen equipment. For storing the pickles, you will need a quart jar with a tightly fitting lid. For making the pickle juice, you will need a deep saucepan and a measuring cup that shows cups and ounces. The main ingredients for this recipe are cucumbers and dill weed. Both of these are easy to grow if you are lucky enough to have a vegetable garden. If you don’t have a garden, you can find them in the produce department at the grocery store. Two other produce items you will need are fresh garlic and a small onion about the size of a golf ball. You will also need salt and sugar to add flavor to the pickles. The liquids you will use to fill the jar are water and white vinegar. The purpose of the vinegar is to keep the cucumbers from spoiling. It will also add that delicious sour taste that makes pickles fun to eat. To make your pickles, slice five cucumbers lengthwise and stand the slices in the quart jar.

  • Cultural Icons
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_topics#Cultural_icons Cultural icons Bagpipes Bagpipes are a class of musical instrument, aerophones using enclosed reeds. The term is equally correct in the singular or plural, although pipers most commonly talk of "pipes" and "the bagpipe". Skirl is a term used by pipers to describe an unintended shrill sound made by the chanter, and is usually produced when the chanter reed is too easy and thus the chanter is overblown. Sometimes the term is also somewhat mistakenly used to describe the general sound produced by a bagpipe. The history of the bagpipe is very unclear. However, it seems likely they were first invented in pre-Christian times. Nero is generally accepted to have been a player; there are Greek depictions of pipers, and the Roman legions are thought to have marched to bagpipes. The idea of taking a leather bag and combining it with a chanter and inflation device seems to have originated with various ethnic groups in the Roman empire. In the modern era the use of bagpipes has become a common tradition for military funerals and memorials in the anglophone world, and they are often used at the funerals of high-ranking civilian public officials as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_topics#Cultural_icons Big Ben Big Ben is the colloquial name of the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster in London and an informal name for the Great Bell of Westminster, part of the Great Clock of Westminster. The clock tower is located at the northwestern end of the building, the home of the Houses of Parliament, and contains the famous striking clock and bell.

A novel, short story, or poem is a whole work, living within itself. The author intends to stay within the text and within the mind and imagination. Even imagistic poetry relies on text to illustrate an image, holding reality back, keeping it relative to the author and reader's imagination. A play, and especially a screenplay, however, is a stepping stone, the narrative out of which springs some sort of visual and dimensional reality. A playwright or a screenplay writer is someone who writes for the stage or screen, and who writes primarily to create something that eventually becomes as close to real as art can get.
