Patron of the Universal Church

On December 8, 2020, Pope Francis issued an Apostolic Letter, Patris Corde (With a Father's Heart) to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of St. Joseph as patron of the Universal Church. The Pope said that in issuing his Letter he wished to share some personal reflections on the extraordinary man, St. Joseph, husband of Mary.

You can find the entire Apostolic Letter on the Vatican web site. A number of books have also been published recently offering prayers and reflections on St. Joseph in this anniversary year. Some titles are available in our St. Peter's Book Store.

Have a relaxing week! Remember to continue to follow health guidelines, get the vaccine as recommended by health authorities and let us do all we can to keep everyone safe from the danger of the COVID virus and other illnesses this summer.
