Looking back now at March it all happened so quickly and it was with a sense of great disappointment that we had to cancel all our end of year prizegivings, miss out on the last two weekends of cricket and lock up the Indoor Training Centre for all of April. Now we can only hope that everything has settled down enough to allow us to enjoy a full season in 2020-21 and that all our members are healthy and safe. However, it was still another great year for Suburbs.

In those days the competition comprised 40 8 ball over’s, and included a requirement for 15 over’s of spin to be bowled. The teams that day comprised some great names of NZ Cricket including Richard, Dale and Barry Hadlee, Cran Bull, Wayne Burtt, and Alan Hounsell for HSOB and Rodney Redmond, John Kasper, Graham Vivian, Arch Taylor and Dave Anderson for Cornwall, all of whom were current or former, first class or NZ reps.
