Job Description The BIG EAST Conference is accepting applications for the position of Basketball Operations Assistant. The position will primarily support functions and operations of Men’s and Women’s Basketball at the BIG EAST Conference. Position directly reports to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Men’s Basketball and Associate Commissioner for Women’s Basketball. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist with research projects and compilation of pertinent regular season and NCAA Tournament selection data (RPI, ratings services, etc.); • Assist with monitoring Game Management rules and policies for member schools (e.g. scorer’s tables, bench compliance, and uniform and equipment decorum); • Track, analyze and compile comparative game data including statistics relevant to officiating, sportsmanship, fouls, and other areas of emphasis; • Assist with developing and maintaining video database for evaluation and educational purposes; • Assist with inputting Blue Zebra data and updates; • Archiving game footage; • Assist with Men’s & Women’s BIG EAST Basketball Tournaments, and other championships as needed; • Provide support for select conference initiatives, including Freshman Fundamentals and Transition Game, and other auxiliary events as necessary; and • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in sports management, business, or relevant field; Graduate Degree preferred. • Strong organizational and presentation skills. • Proficiency using Microsoft Office. • Video editing experience. • Working knowledge of statistical analysis. • Previous work or volunteer experience in sports industry, preferably Division I, and/or former student-athlete experience at member institution. • Demonstrated ability work both independently and collaboratively with diverse constituents, including conference staff and personnel at member institutions. • Capacity to efficiently multi-task and prioritize. • Familiarity with NCAA compliance, and basketball rules and regulations.
