4 GOT TO LOVE A GOOD BLONDE JOKE.....

A blonde lady was driving home, drunk as a skunk. Suddenly she has to swerve to avoid a tree, then another, then another. A police car pulls her over, so he tells the policeman about all the trees in the road. The policeman says, “That’s your air freshener swinging about!”

A blonde man’s dog goes missing and he is frantic. His wife says “Why don’t you put an ad in the paper?” He does, but two weeks later the dog is still missing. “What did you put in the paper?” his wife asks. “Here boy!” he replies.

Please note a change of date for our upcoming Duck Derby which is usually on Australia Day 26th January each year. In 2016 Marine Rescue has decided to bring the Duck Derby forward to the Saturday before, the 23rd January 2016, to make it easier for the public to attend. The weekend is the final weekend of the holidays and with Australia Day on the Tuesday many holiday makers are heading home and miss out on a fun day. By moving it forward it gives families a chance to bring the kids to the duck races with all the other fun day attractions but allows plenty of MARINE RESCUE JERVIS BAY time to pack and head home safely after the VMR 209 Christmas break. With requests to bring the Call Sign: Marine Rescue Jervis Bay day forward we have decided to alter the day Phone: 02 4441 5433 – Fax: 02 4441 5428 to Saturday the 23rd January 2016. This doesn’t mean that one condones violence, or whatever it may be, but one finds in one’s heart an understanding that no matter what the circumstances, even if one can’t bring oneself to be generous with love, one can at least be tolerant, be kind. This is where tolerance is so useful because it is something that you can fall back on when you are not able to love – you can at least be tolerant. It is very useful to practice tolerance as a way of developing loving detachment which is also a wonderful quality. You can practice tolerance when you are driving in your car, or when you are watching television, where previously you would have judged or criticised, but instead of allowing that automatic response you develop mindfulness through noticing and through choosing tolerance, through choosing to not say the judgement, and to even refine that further to not thinking the judgement. Tolerance helps you to let others just be, and it helps you to stop trying to control others to be how you want them to be. A bloke went to the Doctor and said “Doc, I don’t know what’s wrong with me I just can’t seem to do anything around the house”. The doctor examined him and told the bloke to come back next week for the results. “Okay Doc, what’s wrong with me?” The bloke asked the next week. The doctor looked over the charts and said “according to the results there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re just getting old and lazy”. “I know that”, the bloke said, “but tell me the medical name for the condition so I can tell my wife”.
