Her work is driven by a curiosity towards the physicality and chore- ography of social life. She looks at social life with inquisitive eyes: Decoding communication | Unfolding physical activity | Alienating human conditioning. Her art is often humorous, sometimes provocative and always investigating the human body. She wants to make contact to pre- senters, co-producers and to get in touch with potential colleagues. Ready for touring: THE LAUGHING GAME. A choreographic research solo of laughter. The piece unfolds laughter as social communication, bodily state, stirring sound and sparkling sensation. An aesthet- ic, sounding and thought-provoking encounter with laughter. Breaking with the common sense of looking at laughter as being funny, laughing is portrayed as a playful but also serious game. BANG and RE-DREAM. Award-winning movies that she created with film artist Jan Vesala. Looking for co-production partners: THE MIRROR PROJECT. A dance of two performers and two oversized mirrors – choreographing the gaze of the spectator and inviting the audience into a world of hyper reality and out contextualisation. By simultaneously presenting and repre- senting moving bodies the project critically examines the relationship between images and reality. The Project passed its research phase and will be created in 2021/22. www.antoinettehelbing.com Photo: Jan Vesala. With a profile that is broad in format, expression, choreographic language and themes but always relevant and of high quality, the company is one of Denmark’s leading members in the dance industry, with both large and small-scale productions for a broad age group. Productions are commissioned, or choreographed by the company’s artistic director Marie Brolin-Tani. The company tours both nationally and internationally. Touring repertoire: A space in the dark. Choreography: Ben Wright, music: David Bowie & Henrik Munch. A life affirming dance and music experi- ence that touches on the most fundamental in all humans – the want and desire to live forever and to the fullest. NO SEX – a world of gender. Choreography: Jason Mabana, music: Christian Tronhjem. A performance that challenges the importance and sincerity of definitions imposed on the individual’s gender and sexuality. Punk, A REBEL NEVER DIES. Choreography: Jacob Stage, music: Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, Nouvelle Vague, The Clash & Joakim Pedersen. Citing the avant-garde punk movement of the 80s, updating it and letting it meet the character and significance of today’s rebellious movement. www.black-box-theatre-and-dance.dk/dans/ Photo: Jonas Søgaard. Founded in 2003 by Yael Gaathon who has been developing her own unique performance style and artistic language, drawing from her background both in theatre and in Butoh. The style is often described as atmospheric, poetic, thoughtful and meditative. Blue Cliff seeks to connect to the deeper levels of our human consciousness and remind us of the beauty and vulnerability which is at the core of our inner selves. Using strong visual images, a slower tempo and attention to detail the performances create a dream-like space, allowing the audience time to reconnect to fundamentals of their inner life and enter the performance through their own prism of imagination. SHINPAI SHINAIDE – DON’T WORRY ABOUT US is an atmospheric and powerful performance combining Butoh and video art, dealing with the issues of grief, love and acceptance. Shinpai premiered in 2018 in Aarhus and received a double Reumert 2019 nomination for Performance of the Year and Performer of the Year. “it is, to say the least, impressive …” DEN 4. VÆG. “… creates an atmosphere … can shift our too fixed perspective of what performing arts are and can be” Aarhus Stiftstidende. Interested in touring opportunities, residencies and co-productions. Similar to the sign found on large highway trucks, we are a reminder to pay atten- tion to particular weight and content. Convoi Exceptionnel is a trans- port system for the enigmatic, pain, the anxious and the possibility of hope. The company focus on interdisciplinarity and spatial-somat- ic relationship within theatre, opera, choreography, and installation. The artistic development is led by Jon R. Skulberg. FOR EVER FOUR SEASONS – an act of resistance against the rapidly accelerating world. The dancer Kenzo Kusuda, liberates himself from the patterns of human motion to create the basic form of “nature”. The performer Marianna Kavallieratos is a figure wandering in a probable and violent vision of the future – in a futile attempt to build a relationship between the outside world and a “nature” which no longer bears any resemblance to itself. Anchoring the figures, conditions, and emotional states to the newly composed works of the cello duo Soma & Lil, as well as the composer and sound artist Kristian Hverring. Skulberg’s staging, scenography and light invites the audience to a sensuous experience, which both pleases and disturbs. During coming
