LET THAT LEAD YOU (2016) Self-produced concert at The Hayes Christensen Theatre (SLC), Sponsored in part by The University of Utah, Department of Modern Dance. An evening length work (45 Minutes) exploring classic literary tropes in coming-of age tales and queering them. Additionally, the work seeks to reimagine our relationship to the childhood self.

SPARK: A Dance Vlog (2013) Choreographer. Editor. Concept and Direction. 6 solos. 6 minutes. Music: Ambassadors, Autre Ne Vuet, Luciana, St. Vincent and Zola Jesus. A self-produced dance vlog created over a 6-day period. Each week I allotted one hour with myself and the dancer to create one minute of material. Featured on YouTube.

PEOPLE ARE GOING TO LIKE YOU (2008). Commission for The University of Dayton Dance Ensemble. A group work for 12 dancers including original text. The work ebbed and flowed between the desire to be like and resistance to it. Kennedy Union Boll Theatre at The university of Dayton (Dayton, OH)

As the French Say (2009) Commission for The University of Dayton Dance Ensemble. An ensemble work of 10 dancers. This work was created in response to the subverted racism I was hearing at the auditions. Kennedy Union Boll Theatre at The University of Dayton (Dayton, OH).

BROAD CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM GRAND OPENING (2008) Choreographer. 40 minutes. LACDC Ensemble. A 40-minute site-specific work created for the grand opening of the BROAD Contemporary Art Museum at LACMA (Los Angeles County Art Museum). Presented for free to the public 3 times a day for a weekend of festivities, LACDC dancers performed an interactive work based on the contemporary art on display in the museum for its inaugural season. This included works from Damien Hirst and Jeff Koonz. Original Score and Live Music created in collaboration with Eric Mason. Costumes from Ryan Heffington.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of The Rite of Spring, the work draws on themes of the original rite to reimagine them. Performed at The Ford Amphitheatre (Los Angeles) as part of the L.A. SoCal Dance Invitational, a dance festival featuring top companies from Southern California.

MARAH (2015) Concept. Direction. Editing. 2 minutes. Music: This was. A brief screendance exploring the “jump cut” as a mode to alter narrative on the screen. Screened in the Department of Dance at The University of Utah.

THE PEOPLE WE KNOW (2015) Concept. Direction. Editing. 7 minutes. A documentary featuring the international students in the Department of Dance at The University of Utah. Screened at The Department of Dance at The University of Utah.

DISCO FEVER (2015) Concept. Direction. Editing. 5 minutes. A Screendance confronting the fantastical nature of the 70’s according to one man’s recollection of his mother’s time at Studio 54. Screened in the Department of Dance at The University of Utah.

HEARTBEAT FOR ORLANDO: KEEP THE PULSE; SALT LAKE CITY (2016) A self-produced performing Arts Fundraiser to benefit the LGBT Center of Orlando. The event included the works of 11 Utah based artists.

Choreography included:

FOR YOU, KURT COBAIN Duet. Music: Hole. A duet reimagining 90’s nostalgia by queering grunge rock icon, Kurt Cobain. Also presented at 12 Minutes Max at The Salt Lake City Public Library.

CAMEO (2015) A self-produced evening length work. 9 dancers. 42 Minutes. Evening Length work exploring the self that emerges in moments of anger and redemption. Music: Original text, Austra, Desire. Performed as a residency sponsored by Sugar Space Studio for the Arts (SLC) and The University of Utah Graduate Salon (excerpt).

BOYHOOD (2015) Self- produced concert held at The Sugar Space Studio for the Arts (SLC). An intimate evening of dance choreography researching notions of our childish self.
