‘RECIPE FOR LOVE’ CAST BIOS DANIELLE PANABAKER (Lauren) — Danielle Panabaker starred in Paramount's record- setting remake of “Friday the 13th” opposite Jared Padalecki. The film, directed by Marcus Nispel and produced by Michael Bay, grossed over $43 million on its opening weekend—a record for the highest take of an R-rated horror film. Panabaker has also starred in Austin Chick’s “Girls Against Boys,” Overture Films' “The Crazies” and in John Carpenter's latest thriller, “The Ward.” She garnered much critical acclaim for her work on CBS's “Shark” and on HBO’s miniseries “Empire Falls.” Other feature film credits include “Mr. Brooks” alongside Kevin Costner, “Sky High,” “Yours, Mine and Ours” and “Home of the Giants,” opposite Ryan Merriman and Haley Joel Osment. On television, Panabaker has seen success on the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “The Shunning,” Disney Channel’s “Read It and Weep” and “Stuck in the Suburbs,” Lifetime Network’s TV movies “Sex & the Single Mom” and “Mom at Sixteen,” as well as guest appearances on “Malcolm in the Middle,” “CSI,” “The Guardian,” “The Division,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Summerland,” “Eli Stone,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Medium.” Most recently, Panabaker filmed a recurring role in FX’s “Justified” and appeared in episodes of “Bones,” “Necessary Roughness,” “Mad Men,” “The Glades,” “The Flash” and “Arrow.” Born in Georgia, Panabaker graduated from high school at the age of 14 and received her Bachelor's degree in English from UCLA. She currently resides in Los Angeles. ### SHAWN ROBERTS (Dexter Durant) – Quickly making a name for himself as one of Hollywood’s young leading men, Shawn Roberts starred as Albert Wesker in “Resident Evil: Afterlife” and “Resident Evil: Retribution” for Sony Screen Gems. Roberts also co-starred opposite Mel Gibson in “Edge of Darkness” for Warner Brothers, directed by Martin Campbell. Roberts recently starred in the Canadian film “A Little Bit Zombie” and in “The Last Ride of Wyatt Earp” with Val Kilmer. In addition, Roberts has starred in The Weinstein Company’s “George A. Romero’s Diary of the Dead” and in "Skinwalkers.” Other film credits include “I Love You, Beth Cooper” for director Chris Columbus and 20th Century Fox, "Land of the Dead" directed by George A. Roberts splits his time between Los Angeles and Canada. ### PASCALE HUTTON (Nan) – Pascale Hutton was born in Creston, British Columbia. After completing the conservatory program at the University of Alberta, she relocated to Vancouver, BC, where she is now based. Hutton has enjoyed great success since her relocation to Hollywood North. She has been featured in recurring roles as well as numerous guest appearances in television series like “Smallville,” “Flashpoint,” “Supernatural,” “Fringe,” “Sanctuary” and “Intelligence,” for which she won the Gemini Award for Best Performance by an actress in a Guest Role. In addition, she recently guest-starred on the first season of the Hallmark Channel Original Series “When Calls the Heart,” for a two-episode arc in early 2014. Her feature film credits include “A Simple Curve,” which earned Hutton a Leo Award nominated for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Feature Film, “Fantastic Four,” “Ginger Snaps: The Sequel” and “Afghan Luke,” to name a few. Hutton recently wrapped the third and final season of CBC’s “Arctic Air.” ### AMOS MITCHELL (Gio) – Amos Mitchell is a multi-talented Canadian actor who was born on Ganges Island, British Columbia, an island off the remote west coast. The son of a blue grass singer and an artist, Mitchell lived in Victoria B.C. until he was 15 and was dedicated to sports all of his early years. He was on his way to a professional career in hockey before his mother moved back to Salt Spring Island when he was in 10th grade. Sports took a back seat for Mitchell and his focus turned to performing, when he was given a grant to attend the Gulf Island Film & Television School. When he was offered the chance to play "Rocky" in a stage production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, he jumped at the opportunity. This solidified his passion for acting. Mitchell’s professional career took off when he was scouted by a modeling agency and offered a chance to travel to Milan. This kept him working in Europe and Asia for the next five years and gave him a dynamic sense of the world. Eventually it was his desire to get back to theatre and film that brought him home to pursue a career in acting in Vancouver. In 2013, Mitchell was very successful on stage, appearing in two different productions to sold- out audiences.
