Streatham Space Project is a new live performance venue, purpose-built for Streatham and Greater London. The venue includes a 123 seat fully-flexible auditorium for theatre, music, comedy, dance and family friendly activities; a rehearsal room for dance classes, yoga, theatre workshops as well as plenty more; and a buzzing café and bar area.

Streatham Space Project is an experiment in what an arts space can do for a neighbourhood like Streatham and the wider London community.

TRANSPORT

Tube/Bus The nearest tube stations are Brixton, Balham and Tooting Bec. The nearest bus stop is Streatham Hill/Streatham Hill Station. From Brixton busses 109, 118, 133, 159, 250 and 333 run towards Streatham Hill Station From Tooting Bec bus route 319 runs towards Streatham Hill Station From Balham bus route 255 runs towards Streatham Hill Station

Rail Streatham Hill Station is a 1-minute walk from Streatham Space Project and runs towards London Bridge and Victoria Streatham Station is 15-minute walk to Streatham Space Project along Streatham High Road

Bike There are bike racks along Streatham High Road, there is currently no bike parking at Streatham Space Station and bikes should not be brought into the building

Car Parking Streatham Space Project has no parking spaces available on site. There is on street parking available throughout Streatham. It is free from 12:00 Mon-Fri and all-day Saturday and Sunday. Loading is available at the front and side of the building but needs to be arranged by visiting companies in advance of arrival with the Production Manager. Streatham is well served by public transport and we encourage visiting companies and audiences to travel to the venue using these methods.

2 THE SPACE BAR

The Space Bar at Streatham Space Project offers a range of hot and cold drinks, and bar snacks. As we do not offer food, so you are welcome to bring your takeaway from our lovely local businesses! Visiting artists receive at 10% discount on any purchases at the Space Bar. For any queries about the Space Bar please contact [email protected]

CATERING

We are happy to discuss any catering you might wish to accompany your show – we love giving our audiences a full experience. We have a small kitchen, but cannot provide cooking and serving dishes or utensils. At the moment we only sell a small selection of crisps and snacks at The Space Bar, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the backstage area.

COMPANY ACCESS

Streatham Space Project is usually open from 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday with evenings and weekends depending on the public programme. All company access should be arranged in advance with the venue Production Manager to ensure the building is open and staffed for you. The venue is located on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible throughout. If you have any additional access requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

INTERNET

There is no password required, simply connect to “SPACE GUEST BY COMMPOINT” and log-in via email or facebook

BOX OFFICE

We run our Box Office online and encourage bookers to buy via our website. Our ticketing is run through Line-Up. Comps will need to be requested by contacting [email protected] in advance of your event.

STAGE DOOR

Streatham Space Project does not have a Stage Door; all visiting companies should enter through the front entrance

POST & DELIVERIES

The venue’s postal address is: Streatham Space Project Sternhold Avenue London, SW2 4PA

Please make sure any deliveries on behalf of visiting companies are clearly addressed to the intended recipient.

Any couriers/larger deliveries must be co-ordinated in advance with the venue Production Manager. We are in the Brixton Hill Collection Depot catchment. It is located at 20 Blenheim Gardens, Brixton, London SW2 5DB

STORAGE

Streatham Space Project has no designated storage space for visiting companies. Any set or costume should only arrive on the date of your company’s get-in and should be removed from site on the arranged date of your company’s get-out. Personal effects may be stored in the dressing rooms provided which come with code locks. There are lockers within the dressing rooms as well. Any items are left at the company’s own risk.

To use the lockers please bring your own padlock.

Any additional storage arrangements must be made in advance with the venue Production Manager.

BACKSTAGE

Backstage at Streatham Space Project consists of two dressing rooms as well as showering and toilet facilities. You may be required to share these facilities with other visiting companies if double-billing. Such arrangements will be laid out in your contract. Visiting companies should be considerate of others using the backstage area and any personal belongings left backstage are left at the owner's risk.

Should your company require additional space during your time here this must be arranged prior to signing your contract with the venue Executive Director.

FIRE & FIRST AID

Your point of contact for any first aid will be the Duty Manager.

You will be given an evacuation briefing before your get-in. If you discover a fire, please leave the building by the nearest fire exit immediately whilst raising the alarm by activating the red break glass panel that are located next to each fire exit.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building or entrance-ways to the building.
