I would like first to take this opportunity to place on record my appreciation for the warmth of the reception I had from your predecessor, His Excellency, Ambassador Renagi Renagi Lohia, on my first appearance before this Committee in 1992 and indeed on my second one in 1993. I can assure the Committee that I was made to feel at home and amongst friends from the first day that I came. That encouraged me to look to this Committee – and it encouraged the people of Gibraltar to look to this Committee – as the forum where we could express our deep seated feelings on having our right as a colonial people recognised and vindicated. I should like to say that I have reported this back in Gibraltar faithfully. Indeed the text of my presentation and my appearance before the Special Committee has been transmitted over Gibraltar television and widely covered by our own press. In doing this, I believe we have been making a small contribution towards the fulfilment of Resolution 43/46 of the 22 November 1988 of the General Assembly on the dissemination of information on decolonisation which called for the widespread and continuous publicity to be given to the work of the United Nations in the field of decolonisation and in particular to the work of the Special Committee. A Resolution, of course, which the administering power voted against, but which the territorial Government in Gibraltar fully supports.

Unless there is a separate written agreement between the Seller and the Customer for the sale and purchase of Product, a Contract shall be deemed to have been agreed each time that an Order is accepted by the Seller. “Credit Event” means where: (a) an event occurs or the Customer’s financial position or business prospects deteriorates to such an extent that in the Seller’s opinion the Customer's capability to adequately fulfil its obligations under the Contract has been placed in jeopardy; (b) the Seller’s trade or credit insurance provider downgrades its rating for, or withdraws, reduces or limits cover generally or specifically in relation to, the Customer (or otherwise gives notice that it may do so); (c) the total value of the Products and Services Delivered and/or provided to the Customer exceeds (or is likely to exceed) the Seller’s credit line for the Customer; (d) the Customer fails to pay any amount under the Contract on the due date for payment.

    TRADING HOURS – NATIONAL SUMMARY AS AT MAY 2015 This fact sheet provides information about the trading hours that apply in each State and Territory. Australian Capital Territory Trading hours for retail stores have been deregulated in the ACT. There are no restrictions on the hours or days that retail shops may open. However, the trading hours of licensed premises are determined by the ACT Liquor Act 1975. Northern Territory Trading hours for retail stores have been deregulated in the Northern Territory. However, individual restrictions may apply to certain shopping centres as set by centre management. The trading hours for the sale of liquor products remain regulated. Victoria Trading hours for retail stores in Victoria are predominantly deregulated. However, most shops are required to close on: Good Friday – all day Anzac Day – Between the hours of 12.01am and 1.00 pm Christmas Day – all day On these days, only exempt shops are permitted to open. Exempt shops Exempt shops are businesses that: have 20 or fewer persons employed in the shop at any time during a restricted trading day; and the number of persons employed by the business and its related entities is no more than 100 at any time during the 7 days immediately before the restricted trading day; OR the predominant business carried on in the shop is that of a: - chemist; - petrol shop; - restaurant, cafe, or any other shop that sells cooked or prepared meals (ready to eat on the premises or to be consumed off the premises); or - prescribed kind. Tasmania Trading hours in Tasmania are predominantly deregulated.
