RULES AND REGULATIONS
3 ALL COMPETITORS MUST HAVE A HORSE HEALTH DECLARATION AND WAIVER COMPLETED BEFORE ENTRY CARDS ARE PURCHASED
1. Class start will not be delayed a. It is the sole responsibility of competitors to present their exhibits in time for commencement of classes b. Competitors must report to Steward within 3 minutes of First call c. In the case of events clashing competitors must decide which one to enter – CLASSES WILL NOT BE DELAYED OR HELD WHILE WAITING FOR COMPETITORS TO FINISH CLASSES IN OTHER RINGS. 2. Class Entry – ticket system of entry to ring d. All horse event entries close 11:00am on day e. Entries to be purchased in centre ring f. Entries must be filled in clearly and signed by the competitor g. Entries must be presented to Stewards before judging commences h. NO REFUNDS ON ENTRIES WILL BE GIVEN 3. Horses may compete in Hack or Hunter classes not both. All entries are to be classified prior to judging and to compete only in appropriate classes. 4. The age of all horses will be taken as from August 1st. 5. Horses competing for championships may be of any age. 6. Local events open to residents within the Scenic Rim Shire only. 7. Definitions: Ponies N.E 14 hands Galloways 14 hands and N.E 15 hands Hacks 15 hands and over 8. All competitors COMPETE AT OWN RISK. 9. Gentleman and Lady Riders to be 17 years and over. 10. Pony hacks under 12.2hh to be ridden by riders under 17 years of age. Ponies over 12.2hh may be ridden by adults. 11. All stallions to be paraded in halter with chain or bit. 12. Owners of livestock from tick free areas must make their own arrangements to have stock sprayed before they return. Aratula – Ph 54631188 Helidon – Ph 46976204 and 48 hrs notice is required 13. All riders to wear approved Helmet. 14. No stallions permitted in open hack classes 15. Novice horses not to have won a Championship class at any other show. 16. Disputes arising from any entry questioned will be referred to the disputes committee. All disputes to be submitted within 30 minutes of the event. $50:00 bond payable & retained if protest is dismissed.

By participating in the Event: 1. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that I do so at my own risk. I accept all risks and release the Show Society from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation in the Event and indemnify them against all liability for any injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in the Event. This release continues forever and binds all of my heirs, successors, executors, personal representatives and assigns. 2. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that the Show Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event are absolved from all liability arising for injury or damage to myself or my property howsoever caused arising out of my participation in the Event whatsoever whether due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of the Show Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event, or otherwise. 3. I warrant that I am physically fit to participate in the Event and that I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical practitioner. I acknowledge that I must disclose any pre-existing medical or other condition that may affect the risk that either myself, or any other person will suffer injury, loss or damage. 6. I consent to receiving any medical treatment including ambulance transportation that the Show Society and any person or body directly associated with the Event think desirable as required during the event. 7. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that I follow the instructions of the Show Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event at all times. I indemnify and keep indemnified the Show Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with a failure by me to comply with rules and/or directions given to me by the Show Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event. 8. I declare that the horse/s in my care for the purposes of the Event have been in good health and not shown signs of any respiratory or other disease for at least five (5) days prior to the Event. I authorise any official connected with the Event to call for veterinary inspection of the horse/s in my care should they show signs of any respiratory illness and I agree to pay any fees associated with that veterinary inspection. 9. I declare that all horse equipment (tack, bridles, buckets and any other articles that have come into contact with equines) and the horse transport vehicle have been cleaned and disinfected before leaving the property of origin to come to this event.
