OVERTIME RECORD Auburn has a 44-43 (.506) record in overtime games in its history. The Tigers last overtime game was a 60-59 loss to Dayton in the Chicago Invitational on Nov. 28, 2008. Auburn has not played an overtime game this year.

WHAT'S NEXT? Auburn plays the fi nal season opener in the 42-year-old Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum against Niagara on Nov. 13 at 8:30 pm Central. The Purple Eagles lost in the NIT fi rst round last year by going 26-9 overall and fi nishing as the Metro Atlantic Conference runner-up with a 14-4 record. Niagara returns four starters and had an RPI ranking of 58 last year. Niagara's 26 wins were the program's most since the 1921-22 season. The Purple Eagles have averaged 22.7 wins in the past three seasons. All-MAAC selections in senior Tyrone Lewis (16.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.0 apg, 2.6 spg) and Bilal Benn (13.8 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.7 apg, 2.4 spg) return as well as senior Rob Garrison (10.9 ppg), and junior Anthony Nelson (8.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.5 apg). Lewis ranked 12th nationally in steals while Benn was 19th. Niagara is a preseason runner-up pick in the MAAC to defending champion Siena. Niagara coach Joe Mihalich is one of six active coaches who has coached at one school with 200 wins and a .600 winning percent- age. Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, Michigan State's Tom Izzo, Saint Joseph's Phil Mar- telli, Gonzaga's Mark Few and Mississippi State's Rick Stansbury are the others.
