They defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins’ rookies 4-2 and the Buffalo Sabres’ rookies 3-1. Former University of Minnesota-Duluth forward Karson Kuhlman scored two goals against the Penguins, and Czech-native Dan Vladar stopped 38 shots in the team’s win over the Sabres. The team lost to the New Jersey Devils on the final day of play, 6-2, with Marek Valach and Connor Clifton each netting a goal. BEHIND THE B SEASON 6 PREMIERE PRESENTED BY TICKETMASTER: The New England Emmy Award-winning series returns again this season to give fans an exclusive inside look at everything Black & Gold. NEXT EPISODE: Season 3, Episode 10: October, TBD BRUINS ACADEMY LEARN TO PLAY PRESENTED BY PURE HOCKEY: The Boston Bruins are excited to continue and grow the Bruins Academy Learn to Play presented by Pure Hockey (previously called "Little Bruins") to help aspiring youth hockey players develop their skills. For the first time this season, the program is expanding to over 80 locations across New England and over 5,000 youth players will have the opportunity participate. The program is available to boys and girls ages 4-9. For a registration fee of $100, the program includes a full set of CCM equipment to keep valued at $500 retail, a professional personaliZed fitting, and four weeks of on-ice instruction led by certified coaches. The Boston Bruins are thrilled to share their passion for hockey with the next generation of hockey players. This year, $2,500,000 (retail value) worth of equipment will be donated through this program. The program debuted in 2014 with just six locations and 300 participants and has grown each year since. To date, over 2,000 local youth have participated in the Bruins Academy Learn to Play program. TD BANK PASS CLINIC: TD Bank and the Boston Bruins are once again teaming up to help increase skills and create opportunities for youth hockey players throughout New England through TD Bank PASS Clinics. Each PASS Clinic is one hour long and led by the Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Development Team. Each clinic is open to 50 youth hockey players in the Squirt/U10 or Pee Wee/U12 age classifications. All participants receive a TD Bank PASS jersey, gift bag, and two (2) tickets to an upcoming Boston Bruins home game.
