Aly & AJ are readying their third Hollywood Records album, Insomniatic, for a July 10th release. With anticipation building fueled by the hit single "Potential Break Up Song," Aly & AJ are poised to improve upon the platinum plus status of their previous album Into The Rush. The duo is already busy promoting the new album and single, as well as their upcoming MTV film, Super Sweet 16, due out July 8th, with multiple appearances scheduled on MTV and other national television shows. They also grace millions of Post's Honeycomb cereal boxes in a national promotion. Aly & AJ are currently filming the pilot to their own MTV show, some of which will take place on this tour. Corbin Bleu will be making the summer trek hot on the heels of the release of his own, highly anticipated album, Another Side, which came out on Hollywood Records earlier this month. Most fans will know Corbin from his starring roles in the mega-successful Disney Channel movies High School Musical and Jump In!, and the hit song "Push It To The Limit" from the Jump In! soundtrack. He will be seen next reprising the role of Chad in the highly anticipated High School Musical 2, premiering August 17th on Disney Channel. Drake Bell, who just won the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award for Favorite TV Actor for the second year in a row, also began his career as a child actor, emerging on the music scene in 2005 with the independent release of his debut album, Telegraph. Gaining recognition and enormous popularity for his starring role in the hit Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh, Bell penned and recorded the show's catchy theme song, "Found A Way," with musical partner Michael Corcoran. In December 2006, Bell released his second album It's Only Time on Universal Motown Records. He has just returned from visiting radio stations across the country promoting his record, drawing large crowds in every city. In the midst of promoting his album, Bell filmed the Lions Gate/Element Films movie titled College, in which he stars. As the youngest participant in Nextfest, Bianca Ryan, just 12 years old, has not let her age get in the way of pursuing her singing career. With talents that go way above and beyond the expectations of a girl her age, Bianca won the debut season of NBC's America's Got Talent, which led to the release of her first, self titled, album on Columbia Records late last year. ABSTRACT WHY WE TURN THE PAGE: A LITERARY THEORY OF DYNAMIC STRUCTURALISM Justin J. J. Ness, Ph.D. Department of English Northern Illinois University, 2019 David J. Gorman, Director This study claims that every narrative text intrinsically possesses a structure of fixed relationships among its interest components. The progress of literary structuralism gave more attention to the static nature of what a narrative is than it did to the dynamic nature of how it operates. This study seeks to build on the work of those few theorists who have addressed this general oversight and to contribute a more comprehensive framework through which literary critics may better chart the distinct tensions that a narrative text cultivates as it proactively produces interest to motivate a reader’s continued investment therein. This study asserts that the interest in narrative is premised on three affects— avidity, anxiety, and curiosity—and that tensions within the text are developed through five components of discourse: event, description, dialog, sequence, and presentation. Seecharan 1 Melissa Seecharan Signs in the Sand By the time I sealed the very last moving box, the bedroom blinds had begun to slash the afternoon sunlight, casting all sorts of stripes across my wooden, bedroom floor. I leaned backwards, straight into a pile of clunky shipping containers, each one prodding at me. Regardless, I remained seated on the floor, watching as hazes of fine dust floated aimlessly above the mound of surrounding cardboard, like flocks of vagrant particles. The hum of industrious air-conditioning unit became an unremitting monotone. Somewhere in the distance, a car door slammed. I snapped out of it. Nikolai. The red hulk of his Toyota Camry gleaned from its position in the driveway. I changed quickly, grabbed my backpack, and tucked the last bit of my babysitting money into my jeans’ back pocket. I waited until my mother’s voice sounded from the foyer, before wading through the waist-high boxes and rushing out of the room, leaving the mountainous containers behind. I completely lost track of the time. He stood at the entrance, one hand in his pocket, conversing casually with my mother. His blue eyes sparkled wildly with enthusiasm, and the hovering sun highlighted strands of his golden hair. A grin spread across his face when I came flying down the stairs. “Sorry,” I breathed, still trying to free my hair from the sloppy bun sagging down my head. “I didn’t think it would take me this long.” “I can come back later,” Nikolai offered. “Or I could help you, if you need it.” “Oh, don’t worry about it.” I peered at his car in the driveway.

  • A Discussion of Goethe's Faust Part 1 Rafael Sordili, Concordia University
Sordili: Nothingness on the Move Sordili 1 Nothingness on the Move: A Discussion of Goethe's Faust Part 1 Rafael Sordili, Concordia University (Editor's note: Rafael Sordili's paper was selected for publication in the 2013 Agora because it was one of the best three presented at the ACTC Student Conference at Shimer College in Chicago in March 2013.) In the world inhabited by Faust, movement is a metaphysical fact: it is an expression of divine will over creation. There are, however, negative consequences to an existence governed by motion. The most prevalent of them is a feeling of nothingness and nihilism. This essay will discuss the relations between movement and such feelings in Goethe's Faust.1 It is my thesis that the assertion of his will to life, the acceptance of his own limitations, and the creation of new personal values are the tools that will ultimately enable Faust to escape nihilism. Metaphysics of Motion Faust lives in a world in which motion is the main force behind existence. During the Prologue in Heaven, three archangels give speeches in praise of the Creator, emphasizing how the world is in a constant state of movement. Raphael states that the movement of the Sun is a form of worship: "The sun proclaims its old devotion / [. .] / and still completes in thunderous motion / the circuits of its destined years" (246-248). For Gabriel, the rotation of the earth brings movement to all the elements upon its surface: "High cliffs stand deep in ocean weather, / wide foaming waves flood out and in, / and cliffs and seas rush on together / caught in the globe's unceasing spin" (251-258).

While her ironically spirited name raises assumptions on what that fun entails, her enjoyment comes in many forms. “I just like to live my life,” she explains to VIBE VIVA. Growing up in the Bronx, Hennessy dabbled in recreational games which seemingly prepped her for a position on MTV’s reality series Champs vs. Stars. The show is inspired by the network’s legacy series, The Challenge, except cast members from the former take part in competitions against a mix of celebrity athletes and personalities. Just a few episodes into season two, we see the younger sister of Cardi B holding her own between games that consist of scaling an oily bright blue staircase and playing on a life-sized shuffleboard. The series is all about the extraness of it all, which Hennessy can handle. Her exuberant personality has made her a cast favorite and also privy to the drama that comes with going for the gold.
