Her stories focus on being a missionary in South Korea where she taught Bible and English as a second language. In Wishing on a New Year's sun, the reader is transported to a landscape rich in rice paddies, jagged mountains and delicate cherry blossoms. Trips to the public bathhouse and exotic foods are all part of the experience.
