Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 8YA.Cheque payable to ICENI Native Pony Show. No entries accepted unless correct fees enclosed with form. Entries close 7th September 2019 , after that date entries accepted at late entry fee Please provide A4 SAE envelope for return of exhibitor numbers., if no SAE sent with entry form, they must be collected on the day from the Secretary tent. No substitution entries will be accepted. No refund of entry fees unless a Veterinary Certificate or Doctors certificate provided. Entries will be available via EQUO EVENTS website PLEASE NOTE: No corals will be allowed on showground. No mucking out of trailers lorries allowed on the showground. Please park sensibly and allow others space. PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME.. EQUIFEST: This show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on during 2020, the two highest exhibits not already qualified in each class will qualify. Cards available from Equifest. RULES 1. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry 2. The judge’s decision is final 3. Ponies entered in all classes must be registered with the respective breed society stud book. (foals eligible if awaiting registration) 4. Ponies must not exceed the height restrictions as laid down by individual breed societies. 5. Ponies must be shown in their natural state, as per breed specifications of each breed society 6. Correctly secured British Standard hats/ skulls must be worn at all times when mounted, with a 3-point fixing chin strap secured. Any competitor who’s hat comes off or chinstrap comes undone whilst competing must, on penalty of elimination, replace it before continuing. He/ She may dismount without penalty to recover the hat or have it passed up from the ground or may stop to refasten the hat. 7. Behaviour by an exhibitor or his servants deemed unsporting or unreasonable, or any animal which in the opinion of the judge, is deemed out of control will be requested to be removed from the ring or showground and may cause all rosettes, prize money and entry fees to be withheld. Any exhibitors or their servants seen to be using social media to air disputes will be requested to remove all their exhibits from the showground and forfeit any prize monies and remaining entry/stable fees 8. Objections must be lodged with the secretary in writing, accompanied by £40 within 30 minutes of the class conclusion. Money will be returned if the objection is upheld. 9. All foals must be 3 weeks old or over on the day of the show. 10. A novice pony must not have been placed 1st in a open class up to the day of the show. 11. The committee reserve the right to combine/split classes at its discretion. 12 It will be a condition of entry that the following apply. The show committee shall not be held liable for any damages to persons, animals , property or exhibitors may sustain during the show. Each entrant must agree to indemnify the organisers of the show and Beechwood Equestrian Centre against any legal action arising from any incidents at the show. 13 All colts and Stallions over 2 years old must be bitted. All stallions over 4 years old must hold their Breed Society Stallion Licence, or as licensing rules apply to each individual Breed Society. 14 All entrants must be ready in the collecting ring 5 minutes before the class is due to commence 15. No spurs to be worn at any time on the showground. 16 No Stallions must be shown in hand by children under 15 years. Stallions that are ridden must comply with breed society riders age restrictions. 17 In event of cancellation entry fees will be refunded less 20% administration 18 Dogs, are allowed on the showground but must be kept ON A LEAD at all times, please clear up after your dog. 19 INSURANCE (a) It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to insure all property and livestock on the showground or elsewhere which is his own, or for which he is responsible 20 Ponies that are Home Produced as per NPS rules rider / handlers should have white armbands worn at. Highest placed in each class will be eligible to go forward to the respective championship 21. Three-year-old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. 22 There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handler classes. Children under 15 years may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In Hand classes. Children under 11 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interest of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In Hand classes. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age , in ridden classes. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring both pony and rider must leave the ring rider dismounted and take no further part. 23 It is a condition of entry that all entrants and their servants agree to adhere to the instructions of the stewards wearing a CLAYDON Hi Viz Jacket. No horse/pony will be allowed to remain in the horse walks unless waiting for a class to commence. No horse/pony will be able to access the public viewing areas. Any rider/handler no adhering to the directions of the stewards will be asked to remove their exhibits from the showground with loss of entry fees. 24 Any In hand young stock class will be split at judge’s discretion if entries warrant, into age groups. 25 Rules as applicable to Societies that we are affiliated to must be adhered to at all times by competitors. 26 Competitor numbers to be worn at all times when mounted/ leading horses. This is H&S in case of incident 27 It is not permitted for and adult to work in a pony that will then compete under Lead Rein/First Ridden classes 28 All riders must be mounted on horses/ponies that have a suitable height to weight ratio. 29 VACCINATIONS : ALL EXHIBITS MUST HAVE COMPLETED A FULL COURSE OF VACCINATIONS WITHIN the previous 12 months. Spot checks will be carried out on the show ground. Any animal showing signs of infection will be requested to be removed from the showground immediately. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS ponies are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non members, but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championships Show at Malvern The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship. Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card.
