INDEPENDENT CONSULTANCY (1997 – 2004) UNITED NATION HABITAT Conducted consultancy work on intra-city differentials in Lusaka City, Zambia in investigating how people’s social and health status is associated with slum conditions. Outcome from the study indicates that slum status is not only limited to lack of shelter or basic services but also implies lack of health and social well-being. National Council for Population and Development (Kenya) Provided editorial activities for the “Kenya Demographic and Health Survey III", including editing questionnaires from the field, and provides staff supervision to ensure accuracy and quality of collected data and editorial of materials. Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) Project, Kenya. Designing questionnaires, question guides and data collection using focus group discussions. Compilation, synthesis, and presentation of the findings on Female Genital Cutting (FGM) in Kenya. Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR), Kenya. Project managed including designing questionnaires, data collection, analysis, writing and presenting reports on “Quality and Efficiency in Resource Management in Education in Kenya”. Maintained communication and productive working relationships with IPAR and sets agenda and oversees quality assurance meeting arrangements throughout the project.
