She has improved each season and is part of the reason expected to concentrate on the hurdles this season. Came in third at the Pac-10 Championships in the heptathlon with a place in the hammer throw at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 1 with a throw of total of 5,681, third in the 100m HH with a time of 13.52 and eighth in the high 173-4 (52.84). Had a PR of 183-3 (55.85m) at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 16, jump with a clearance of 5-7. Had a season-best time in the 100m HH of 13.17 the 12th-farthest throw in school history. Also threw the hammer 182-6 to place on June 11 during the heptathlon competition. Had PRs during the season of fourth at the Trojan Invitational on March 20. 2009: Had a season best of 166-4 23.90 in the 200m, 5-10 3/4 (1.80m) in the high jump (eighth best by a Trojan) (50.70m) in the hammer. and 44-8 (13.61m) in the shot put. 2008: Was cleared to run for USC just prior to the season when Tennessee granted her transfer waivers. Though she was BEFORE USC: Attendended Santa Monica College before transfering to USC. injured for much of the season, Ali had some impressive highlights at the Pac-10 Multi-Events Championships before having to pull out of the competition with a HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Palos Verdes Peninsula High in Rancho Palos sore hamstring. In her fi rst heptathlon for USC, Ali amassed a fi rst-day PR of Verdes, Calif. where she was voted the most inspirational athlete. 3,306 points to stand second, while setting PRs in the 100m HH (13.14), high jump (5-8 3/4, 1.75m) and 200m (23.94). Her 100m HH time ranks fourth all-time PERSONAL: Tamara was born on Dec. 15, 1987...Resides in Rancho Palos by a Trojan female and her high jump clearance is tied for 10th. Again ran a 13.25 100m HH to place third at the SEC Championships. Placed 9th in the high jump at 5-7 (1.70m).
