Middle School New Faculty

Math

Jennifer Brown joins our Middle School Math Department after having taught at four other ​ independent schools: The Chapin School, The , Montclair Kimberley Academy, and Brookwood School. She enjoys coaching and has an extensive background in a variety of sports including , , , cross­country, , and soccer. Ms. Brown received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Alfred University, where she was the Captain of the varsity tennis team and also played varsity lacrosse. She completed her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley College with a specialization in mathematics.

Art

Stacey Parrish will be joining the Middle School faculty as our second art teacher and we are ​ thrilled to welcome her back after having served several roles at Saint Andrew’s. In addition to assisting in our infirmary, Ms. Parrish has served as a Lower School Art Enrichment teacher and Head Art Counselor at Saint Andrew’s since 2012. She is also a decorative painter and muralist. She received her B.A. from Bard College.

Athletics

Jimmy Robertson will serve as our Varsity Football Coach and Middle School Physical ​ Education teacher. Mr. Robinson has a M.A. in Physical Education from West Virginia University and a B.S. in Physical Education from State University of at Brockport, where he played varsity football for four years. He was an Assistant Football Coach at Oxbridge Academy this past year while also teaching physical education at Forest Hill High School. Mr. Robertson’s experience includes Westminster Academy, where he served as the Upper School Dean of Students, physical education teacher, history teacher and Student Council Advisor. Prior to that, he established a physical education program based on teamwork, goal setting, self­esteem, sportsmanship, and responsibility at the Hillel Community in North Miami.

Chuck Tobey, our current Middle School Athletic Director, will be moving into the role of Athletic ​ Event Administrator for both our Middle school and Upper school programs. Mr. Tobey will serve as the on­site administrator for the nearly 1,000 athletic home events and contests we host each year. He served as our Middle School Athletic Director since 2012 and has been a strong advocate for our Middle School program within the Gold Coast League. His thirty­two years of athletic administration experience has been extremely valuable. In 2010, Tobey was inducted ​ into Gulliver's inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame. Tobey was also a high school and college football standout and has been inducted into the Peabody High School Athletic Hall of Fame (2012) and Bridgewater State College Athletic Hall of Fame (1996). Tobey earned his B.S. from Bridgewater State College and his M.S. from St. Thomas University.

Brendan Gleason will serve as the Middle School Athletic Director. Mr. Gleason joined the ​ Saint Andrew's Athletic Department in 2014 as the Sports Information Director. He also currently serves as the Defensive Coordinator for the boys varsity lacrosse team. Prior to Saint Andrew's, Mr. Gleason worked at Lynn University for the Fighting Knights' lacrosse team and spent two years at the College of Saint Rose as an Assistant Lacrosse Coach and Defensive Coordinator. He graduated from the University at Albany with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Business Administration. He also earned an MBA specializing in Sports and Athletic Administration from Lynn University.
