The film was directed by Victor Gonzalez, shot mainly at Disney Studios in October and November 2012. The full cast of the series starred in a special film, with the exception of David Henry, although the character was often mentioned. The film is dedicated to the Russo family, Harper and Mason, visiting Italy for family reunification. It originally aired on the Fox in the United States on March 15, 2013. The special received 5.9 million viewers. Plot Russian family, Harper, and Alex's friend, Mason, organize another congratulatory party for Justin for adoption on WizTech. A student named Dominic visits the family to tell them that Justin is too busy to leave work, and flirts with Alex, which makes Mason jealous. Jerry announces a family reunion in Tuscany, Italy. Alex creates a portal between Italy and New York to facilitate the journey, but gets scolded by Jerry for being immature selfish. After talking to Dominic, Alex tries to prove that she is not the irresponsible wizard she once was, handing out a spell to banish negative parts of her personality, but accidentally creates reflection of himself in the mirror. Angry Alex Alex mirror and flees to Italy. Meanwhile, Max attracts the attention of an Italian girl and tries to find her, not realizing that she is his cousin, and Jerry and Teresa follow him to return him. They accidentally meet their cousins and the reunion begins early. Evil Alex shrinks and imprisons Max, Jerry and Teresa with the help of another anonymous wizard, who is later revealed as Dominic. Harper and Alex follow them to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, where Harper is also captured. Dominic wants to capture the world using Alex's magic to capture all the mortals in tiny beads through a replicator spell mounted on top of the tower. When she refuses, Angry Alex goes to capture Mason. To save his family, Alex goes through Dominic's plan, activating his car. Before she can turn on Dominic and reverse the spell, she is instantly transported away and found guilty of attempting to destroy the mortal world, with a twisted testimony from Dominic. She was later rescued by Mason, who manages to destroy her prison cell. Two races back to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, where evil Alex and Good Alex end up in a battle of magic and fighting in the House of Rousseau and Jumbotron, while Mason fights Dominic. Alex manages to recover the bracelet from the hands of Evil Alex. When Dominic knocks out Mason, Alex is about to defeat him. Evil Alex and Dominic join forces against her, but she manages to destroy one of them and free his family. Mason then pushes Dominic out of the tower. Evil Alex reforms and Alex renounces all his powers to destroy her evil twin. Eventually, Alex is given her magic back after accepting that she doesn't really need it. The film ends with Alex telling Harper that they should stay in Italy for a while because Jerry and Teresa are upset about their living room being destroyed by the battle between both Alexes. Starring Selena Gomez as Alex Russo / Angry Alex, a family wizard of the Russian family, who uses his magical abilities irresponsibly and selfishly. Hoping to change for the better, Alex casts a spell on himself, making her bad colleagues of his individual. However, her evil colleague is trying to take over the world, while her good parts have to stop him. Selena Gomez portrays a dual role in the special. Jake T. Austin as Max Russo, Alex's younger brother, who is now mortal because of the loss in the competition of family wizards. Jennifer Stone as Harper Finkle, Alex's best friend, who knows about her magical abilities. Gregg Salkin as Mason Greybeck, Alex's werewolf guy. Bo Mirhoff as Dominic, the evil nephew of Dorogo, who wants to take over Maria Channels Barrera - Teresa Russo, mother of Alex and Max, who does not like to use magic. Male counterparts in similar programs aired by the same network openly displayed their extraordinariness and were portrayed as having considerable and usually uncontested agency. These alternative depictions of differential hiding and secrecy in sitcoms are far from speculative; these ideas were synthesized from analyses of sitcom episodes, commentary in magazine articles, and web-based discussions of these series. Content analysis, industrial analysis (including interviews with industry personnel), and critical discourse analysis utilizing the multi-faceted lens of feminist theory throughout is used in this study to demonstrate a unique decade in children’s programming about super powered girls.

Miall NUMBER OF PAGES: ix, 334 ii ABSTRACT Scholars and laypersons are increasingly concerned about the marketing of inappropriate adult fashions directly to tweens, children between the ages of eight and thirteen. Using a symbolic interactionist approach, I consider strategies used to market tween fashion images, and their influence on tween self-image and mother-child relationships. Through content analysis of images in two magazines, Today's Parent and Tiger Beat, I establish that contradictions exist between traditional images of childhood as a time of innocence, and more recent adult or sexualized images of tweenhood; that both these types of representations are gendered; and that both reinforce gender roles in childhood and tweenhood alike. Through qualitative interviews with mothers and tweens, I explore the meanings they associate with tween fashion and their influence on tween self-image. Both mothers and tweens are somewhat influenced by marketing strategies that use brands, logos and celebrity role models to market tween fashion.

Austin State University, as well as to provide financial support for the SFA Film program’s annual Summer Feature Film project, where SFA students experience firsthand the making of a full-length feature film. All members of the Nacogdoches Art Alliance and the Film Festival are volunteers who receive no financial compensation for their efforts. All proceeds, after festival expenses, go toward scholarships and the annual student feature film project. History of Nacogdoches Film Festival The Nacogdoches Film Festival traces its origins way back to 2010, when a small group of individuals from throughout the Nacogdoches community got together for the express purpose of celebrating films made by, or about, Texans. Our very first film festival was held in April 2012 at the Hotel Fredonia in downtown Nacogdoches and has been held every year since then, shifting to a February timeslot back in 2014 in order to work around scheduling conflicts with the Texas National art competition and exposition. The 2020 Nacogdoches Film Festival is our ninth annual event. An important element of the Film Festival has been the Short Film competition, in which hundreds of filmmakers have submitted entries through our FilmFreeway portal. We now offer five separate competition categories: one for Short Films, one for Independent Feature Films, one for Documentary Films, one for Music Videos, and one for budding High School filmmakers.
