World Health Organization has estimated that 8096 of sicknesses I can be prevented by ensuring availability of safe water and adequate sanitation facilities. The water borne diseases are a major concern in under five children. Diarrhoeal diseases along with acute respiratory infections and vaccine preventable diseases are the three major killers. The I diarrhoeal diseases also contribute significantly to malnutrition in children which has a very high prevalence and predisposes children in India to many other sicknesses. -
