 General: to see the costal line of Maharashtra, especially south konkan area, they are Tarkarli, and Kochara area of .  To develop leadership qualities among the students Tour report The students of B. Com. III enthusiastically agreed to arrange one day tour, (day one) as it is part of their syllabus. The lectures, seminars and conferences are not sufficient to enhance the knowledge. Practical expertise is more important. Therefore we have decided to arrange the tour. As there are number of tour destinations for one day tour, we have selected South Konkan area of Maharashtra, which is new for these students. Especially, many of them are unknown about costal area. Sindhudurg district is declared as Tourist District from Maharashtra Government and Malvan is known for Sindhudurg Fort built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is very worthy destination for tour. There are twenty five students accompanied by three teachers in the tour. The teachers are :- Dr. A. A. Kulkarni, Shri S. A. Taral and Shri. S. M. Kamble. To curtail the expenses, students had brought their own tiffin’s for morning lunch. One 35 seater bus is hired for tour. The tour started at 6.30 a. m. in the morning. The first destination was Kunkeshwar Temple which is near Achara Bandar, which is beautiful sight on the costal line. While going to Kunkeshwar, breakfast is enjoyed at Tarla, a small village on the highway. For the pilgrims, Kunkeshwar is very famous for Lord Shiva Temple. Students saw that sight and forward to next destination, Sindhudurg Fort at Malvan. On the way, we have taken lunch with our tiffin’s, which is very nice experience, enjoying different tastes of food prepared at home. We reached to our next destination, Fort Sindhudurg at Malvan. It is very nice fort built in the sea. We have hired Boats to reach there, as the fort is nearly one kilometer away from the costal line. Seeing the fort was nice experience. We spent nearly one and half hour to see the fort, and came back on the shore. The next destination is Tarkarli Beach of Malvan, where we want to see the fishing industry. Tarkarli is known for fishing, modern offshore tourism, water sports and scenic beach. Students sought information from the fishermen about their fishing skills, fishing techniques, marketing techniques etc. then after they enjoyed the water sports, other games and the sunset. It was a nice experience. The last part of the tour is coming back to Kolhapur, as it was one day tour. While coming back to Kolhapur, we have enjoyed special Malvani food, such as fish curry, fish fry, etc. at Tarla, Dist. Sindhudurg. We reached at 11.45 p. m. in the night at Kolhapur.

- - Overview of Even though it is one day tour, students really enjoyed the tour and sought the number of new things. They developed leadership qualities among themselves. As trip(tour) the total plan is arranged by the students, that is the new organizational experience for them. conclusion It seems that educational tour is important aspect from the view of students in their college life, not only as enjoyment but also to seek the practical knowledge. Suggestions One day tour at such a destination is not adequate, as there are number of tourist for further spots lagged behind. We want to suggest that Principal should permit two to three tours days tour . Enclosed 1. List of students documents 2. Photographs 3. Permission letters 4. Other(specify)
