External Students + PAN 154 students in total. Entry Requirement Access to an A Level/Cambridge Technical course requires 5 GCSEs grades 9 – 4 including English Language and Maths. Some subjects require grade 6/7 if chosen for further study at Advanced level or, in the case of subjects not previously studied, in a related discipline. Oversubscription Criteria Following the allocation of places to students who have an Education Health Care (EHC) Plan which names the school as appropriate provision, when there are more applications for places than there are places available, priority will be given in the following order: i. Children in public care (looked after children) ii. Students who live in the linked area associated with the school: - Appletree, Aston-le-Walls, Chacombe, Chipping Warden, Culworth, Edgcote, Farthinghoe, Greatworth, Kings Sutton, Lower Boddington, Marston St Lawrence, Middleton Cheney, Moreton Pinkney, Overthorpe, Plumpton, Stuchbury, Sulgrave, Thenford, Thorpe Mandeville, Upper Boddington, Warkworth, Weedon Lois, Weston and Wappenham. iii. Students who will have an older brother or sister continuing at Chenderit School at the time of admission of the younger child. iv. Children of staff who have been directly employed by Chenderit School for a period of not less than 2 calendar years at the time of the child’s application and/or the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skills shortage leading to the child’s admission in the following academic year. v. Other pupils. Other Information Distance Tiebreaker - If the admission number is exceeded within criterion (ii) priority will be given to those who live furthest from the nearest alternative school. If the admission number is exceeded within any other criterion priority will be given to those who live closest to the school measured in a straight line using NCC’s GIS. Some courses may fill up quickly, in which case an early expression of interest may be a factor we use in allocating places. We will give subject priority to external applications received by 5th February 2021 Other Information There is an appeals procedure for applicants who are not successful. Details of the appeals procedure are available from Chenderit School. .
