Croatia has a coastline of some 1,173 km. Within this length there are 718 islands Several smaller shipyards and repair centres build a significant number of fishing, cargo and 467 islets and reefs. Taking into account the total seaboard length, there are just and passenger vessels. In the middle of 2005, the Marine Industry Association was established within the Croatian Chamber of Economy for the purpose of gathering together the producers of pleasure and working boats in order to unify promotional activities on both the local and foreign markets.

Croatia is an Adriatic and a Central European country. It streches in the form of an arc from the Danube in the northeast, to Istria in the west and Boka Kotorska in the south-east. Its area is 56,538 km2, and the area of coastal sea about 31,900 km2.
Geographically, it is situated at the cross-roads between Central Europe and the Mediterranean.

The company currently employs 65 full-time workers. The building of wooden ships is a traditional activity on the island of Murter and most of the shipbuilding activities are concentrated in Betina where the shipyard is situated. Shipbuilding has a tradition of almost 250 years, through various forms of organised manufacture.
Shipbuilding in Betina is characterised by excellent workmanship, robust boat construction, and the choice of material (Slavonian oak). NAUTIČKI CENTAR PRGIN This impressive shipyard is located in the naturally sheltered St. Peter’s Cove near Šibenik REMONTNO BRODOGRADILIŠTE ŠIBENIK d.o.o. on an easily accessible and scenic shoreline, and covers 110,000 m2. The shipyard waters cover 68,000 m2 and the company also manages the waters of the Anchorage 2 which is currently under reconstruction. The activities of the shipyard are further supported by 3 tugboats, 2 mobile cranes, several forklifts and various other means of transport. Numerous workshops (electric and electronic, engineering, engine testing, mechanical, joinery, pipe, foundry, galvanic, rubber and gasket, carpentry, GRP, fairing and painting) are situated in a covered area of 45,000 m2 and are equipped with a total of 48 gantries installed in every shed. The company is also considering the idea of commencing the production of yachts up to 21m length.
NCP-RB Šibenik also plans to include boat trailers into its production programme and already produces the concrete pontoon systems for construction of marinas and ports used for nautical tourism.

In 1968 he started the production of fibreglass boats “PASARA 435” and “PASARA 570”. In 1990 the handicraft workshop was transformed into a limited liability company, MARUŠIĆ d.o.o., registered for the building, reconstruction and repair of boats and vessels. We were the first private company which started the production of fibreglass boats in Croatia. Since the start of production we have obtained all the necessary permits and certificates (both for production facilities and final products) issued by the Croatian Register of Shipping in Split. CLASSIC 540 WEEKENDER
M.I. Nautika has, for the first time, introduced its new speedboat Classic 540 Weekender at the 2nd Fair of Croatian Small Boat Manufacturers, held in 2010 in Podstrana, where it immediately caught a very close attention of the public. In addition, this speedboat is momentarily the largest vessel, manufactured by this newly established company. This open speedboat is currently available in two types - Classic and Weekender. Classic is a traditional fisherman boat with a smaller central console and semi circular bench in the bow. Gof 410 is manufactured as a traditional Adriatic vessel pasara (a model of a half-decked boat) with rounded sides and 18-centimeter-long keel which stretches over the full boat length. The bow storage area, so typical for this model, is equipped with block-a-port and is slightly longer than Mila 300 model and provides sufficient space. Unlike the central benches, which can be removed, the stern bench is fixed and slightly longer with both boat sides containing mounts for benches. If more cockpit space is required, both side benches may be put away in the flooring storage area. ZANZINI d.o.o. Zanzini d.o.o. is the successor of the “Zanatski kombinat “(The Craftsmen’s Conglomerate) Industrijska zona Miličevac from Vodice established in 1945. In the past two years the company has operated independently and has proved itself, after 25 years of work, on the market with our new boat ARAUSA 25 which was awarded the “Golden Sail” at the NAUTICA Fair 2006 in Rijeka. The ARAUSA 25 is produced in three variants as is customary with all other round stern boats: pasara boat, tourist and fishing type boats. The building of wooden ships is a traditional activity on the island of Murter and most of the shipbuilding is concentrated in Betina where the shipyard is situated. Shipbuilding has a tradition of almost 250 years, through various forms of organised manufacture. Shipbuilding in Betina is characterised by excellent workmanship, robust boat construction and the choice of material (Slavonian oak).
