Policy statement and principles The William Hogarth School is committed to ensuring that children are effectively safeguarded from the potential risk of harm. The safety and well-being of children are given the highest priority in all aspects of the school’s work. We support this by maintaining an ethos where staff, pupils, parents and governors feel comfortable sharing their concerns, confident in the knowledge that effective, appropriate action will be taken. This policy is available on the school website and is included in the staff handbook, volunteers’ handbook and code of conduct.
