ACT/SE NSW Regional Update - April 2007 >>TELSTRA AFL COMMUNITY CAMPS > REGIONAL MANAGER Carlton Football Club visited the Sapphire Coast during early February for their 2007 Telstra AFL James CEELY Community Camp. The Blues participated in activities including training sessions, a NAB AFL Auskick 0407 706 604 Superclinic, local school and hospital visits, community football forums for local AFL supporters,
[email protected] coaches, trainers and youths. The Sapphire Coast football community was incredibly receptive to the Community Camp Program and the entire week was a great success. The ‘Dinner with the Blues’ > DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS function was also well received with the support of all local clubs and the SCAFL raised a significant amount of money. SOUTH COAST John DYBALL In the lead up to their NAB Cup match at Manuka, the Western Bulldogs visited Canberra for their Telstra AFL Community Camp. Following a similar program as Carlton, the Bulldogs involved (02) 4455 3824 themselves heavily within the local AFL community, taking the under-15 and under-16 ACT Cats for a 0411 226 086 training session as well as an ACT women’s squad, who they commended highly. [email protected] AFL in 2007 kicked off in the nation’s capital with two pre-season matches at Manuka Oval. The Western Bulldogs beat the Sydney Swans in a NAB Cup match on February 24, and the Swans returned > UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER to Canberra the following weekend when they beat Richmond in a NAB Challenge match.
