E-Charge Service by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus e-charge Service by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus Question: What is the e-charge service and its target audience? The e-charge service is a service offered all over Cyprus, by EAC to electric vehicles owners. Via this service the electric vehicle owners have access to safe and reliable charging of their vehicle in Public areas where EAC has already installed charging stations. Question: How does anybody gain access to the system? The electric vehicle owner must apply to any EAC Customer Service Center, in order to sign a Service Agreement and receive the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Card, which will give the owner immediate access to all charging stations that have already been installed or will be installed Question: What is the cost and charging by EAC in the future. tariff for electric vehicles? Each user of the system, is charged a flat fee of € 25,00 at the first bill. A bill with the consumption will be sent to the electric vehicle owner every two months. The pricing of electricity is based on the tariff 10 (€ 5,66/two month period and fixed charge 13,39 cent/kWh based on a basic fuel price of € 300 / MT.). Question: What is the charging power of the electric vehicle chargers installed? The charging stations that have been installed are able to charge an electric vehicle up to 21kW (3-Ph). At each charging point there are two (2) charging plugs and can serve simultaneously two vehicles. Question: Where are the electric vehicle charging stations located? The electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at 20 selected points so far. The Public places selected aim to serve and enable the electric vehicle owner to travel throughout the island of Cyprus. Additionally, the self-employed and the domestic employees and/or people caring for elders or disabled persons or people providing assistance to individuals who are unable to take care of themselves are obligated to participate in the program. It is recalled that all teachers and school staff without exception are required to undergo a weekly check with a rapid antigen test. The negative result certificate should be presented during the checks. At the same time, according to the Decree, dated 2 March, as of 8 March, students aged 12 and over are required to submit a negative rapid test certificate on a weekly basis. It is noted that mobile testing units will be located in public and private Lyceums and Technical Schools, however, staff and students can be tested at the various testing units, as well.
